What did Three of Nine (Marika Wilkarah) do on Voyager for one month before dying? Did people feel weird around her as she came closer to the end? Did someone stay with her at the end? Presumably Seven and the Doctor.

Is she in a drawer with the dead Naomi copy or did she get a space funeral?

Did Janeway realise that Two of Nine (Lansor) was actually the Romulan Telek from the past? Those cunning Romulans again.

Most importantly, why didn't these three idiots just travel in opposite directions? You're honestly telling me that their link would continue over hundreds of thousands of light years? Surely that would be technology that someone might be interested in.

I'd kill myself. At least here I can log off when I've reached my limits ;) Sorry hun.

Perhaps a request sent to The T'Bonz Crusher for a moniker change to huxxx?

:)

I find it hard to believe that not everybody wants to bathe in my glistening jizz-pool of bodily fluids and aggressively innapropriate thoughts... but I guess it's possible.

But what about "Survival Instinct" the episode?

Thoughts (especially the three of them going in opposite directions thing).

It probably would have been a similar situation like Crusher and Picard in Attached. If they moved a certain distance from each other they would go on a maniacal killing rampage or have an uncontrollable urge to assimilate puppies. Or the Delta Quadrant equivalent of puppies.

Yes, I'm honestly telling you that. It's a Borg link after all and as we know the Borg have their ships spread all over the galaxy, but are still linked with each other - even if the Queen is in the DQ and some cube 4729Alpha is next to Earth.

Just about anyone was able to link to unimatrix zero while sleeping so I assume there's still some magical borg nanomite that allows them to communicate to eachother regardless of how far they are.

Remember that Borg become less and less logical as time goes on, especially throughout voyager. They had the power to magically teleport anywhere in the galaxy and take over any planet, they could have gotten backup after Wolf 359. My guess is they assimilated Hux during Wolf 359 and his dirty thoughts corrupted the hive mind. Turning the borg from evil killing machines into kinky robots that require female dominatrix's to tell them what to do. Think about it... Does this remind of you Hux?

Are you honestly telling me that you're honestly telling me? Pah, I doubt it. The more I hear about the Borg, the more I think they're a bunch of incompetent fuck-ups.

Sounds like a solid theory to me. They never had queens until my pervy thoughts were assimilated. It would also explain why all regeneration alcoves have built-in dildos. That sound you hear when they lock into the alcove... What did you think that was?

There's short story called Brief Candle in the DISTANT SHORES anthology that deals with Marika Willkarah and how she spent that one month aboard Voyager.

SPOILER: It's a Harry Kim story.

What happened to anyone in that situation?. Are you trying to tell me they don't have hospice type services aboard 24the century starships? Why should the crew feel weirded out? They deal with death all the time, allegedly. Hell, on the bridge they all just stood around while Tuvix was being dragged away to be sent back to his makers. Why would they keep dead Naomi in a drawer? It's not as if she's some damn sporocystian rock that's actually worth something. Why wouldn't 3 of 9 get a space funeral?. Again, no intrinsic reason to keep her in a stasis chamber, though I wonder if there was any change in thinking about body disposal after it was discovered that instead of floating in eternal peace, these remains might wind up in possession of the Kobali, adding to their population and perhaps, furthering their ability to become a greater power in the quadrant.

By the way, I voted to turn your ass into the authorities. Why the hell should I have to suffer any further?

Written by our very own Christopher, I believe. My threads exist in a world where we aggressively ignore the books though.

I've never seen Trek deal with death whereby someone is terminallly ill and we witness their struggle. It's usually just... here's the hypo-spray... all better now. Admittedly, an episode exploring palliative care probably not a fun ride.

Why Noami is in a drawer? Because a funeral would be a mind-fuck for Samantha. "We say goodbye to your infant daughter, Naomi... even though she is in your arms."

Having a funeral for a copy or alternative reality version of you is just... really bad etiquette. Did they have service for dead Kim? Probably not but he was floating in space so... out of sight, out of mind.

I think you should mess with the four that would be enjoying it with things they didn't sign up for. As for the seeking authority, what's the point. You're linked. I suppose they could sever and kill you so why not just kill yourself?

I thought their link was severed so they could go in opposite directions if they wanted? It seems pointless though. How far can you get in a low warp craft? I guess they want to see coffee in a nebula.

I honestly need to watch the episode again. It's not a skip, but it's a seven episode which I take in small doses.

I imagine she recreated some of her favorite places on the holodeck, prayed with the other Bajorans, wrote a letter to be delivered to any loved ones back home, etc.

I think it would have been quite interesting to see how the consideration of this moral and ethical question had evolved over the centuries. One would certainly suspect that assisted suicide would have long since become the norm. Now you say "It's usually just...." Really? Granted, there is much of two different series that I've either never seen in the first place or simply don't remember. But I can only think of the Visitor where something like that takes place, and that was self-administered and not because of a terminal condition. Can you name episodes that the medical practitioner on hand, or a stand-in if that person wasn't available, actually dispensed such a service? Your statement has really drawn my attention.

Until Star Trek Online...

hux chill a bit and stop with all of these spammy threads lately. I'm pretty laid back in here but some of these topics are pretty inane, such as this post. Thank you for your cooperation.
