Glad to see I'm on the way to a healthy lifestyle.
No wonder I'm so damn healthy.
I should be twice as healthy then
I kid...I kid...I actually save up my 2 a day for the weekend.
If I had three beers a day every day it would be very bad for me. I would feel it every morning when I woke up. Even though beer may have some health benefits at the end of the day alcohol itself is a poison and bad for your body. And I say this as a devoted drinker of beers who has probably tried 200 different kinds.
I hate beer. Though I do recall reading somewhere that the earliest known prescription is in the form of an ancient Egyptian carved tablet, and is indeed a prescription for beer.
I admit, though, that ever since I got started on Redd's, I find it hard to drink regular beer. Redd's is just so damn delicious.
You just haven't had the right beer.
I will fix you.
All my beer drinking was social drinking. Since I have no social life anymore, I gave it up. When I would buy a six-pack for home, 6 months later there were still 3 cans left.
Probably just as well. I've been hooked on caffeine and nicotine over 40 years, and possibly would have turned alcoholic if I liked the taste of beer. I've only had two cans this year. I prefer wine or liquor, but haven't even had that since last year.
Ima take all you non beer people to the pub and shout you until you TURN.
Blegh...it's like carbonated liquid bread: all bloaty and burpy and stinky and high blood sugary without the flavour, charm, and depth of whiskey or wine.
I had this the other day.. fantastic stout. Would give whiskey a run for it. Charm, flavour and a wisp of smokey pine.
I WILL CONVERT YOU
This sort of drink isn't really a drink, it's a meal.
No interest in alcohol here, so I guess I'm doomed to an early miserable death?
There is so much diversity in beer that your statement is inherently wrong.
And yes, beer is healthy for you. Hoppy beers and stouts are especially good for you, as they contain a lot of vitamins.
I actually did have a beer for breakfast today. Blueberry Coffee Stout from the brewery where I work. A delicious way to start the day. I drank it while I worked on the deposit from the night before.
Alas! I don't mean to hate it so, but I'm afraid I am a hopeless case. I believe you both and find your arguments sound, but I'm afraid that my aversion runs deep! Diverse as beer may be, it is all carbonated (and therefore bloaty and burpy), and all carb-loaded (and therefore high bloosugary).
The truth is the all carbonated beverages make me feel ill. You should conserve your strength for converting those who have a chance, and leave me to my plonk.
I just love beer so much!
Does this apply to mead? I recently started drinking mead and have decided that it is the best thing ever. I don't really need an excuse to drink it beyond that, but I like having extra excuses available.
When I come back from a mighty quest,
I have no need for sleep nor rest.
I head to the tavern for a drink,
and get so drunk I cannot think.
A wench by my side and a jug of mead,
these are the things that I most need.
So I sit back and sing this song,
and drink and party all night long.
This is the cutest post.
I mean, I do work in a brewery, so I might be a little biased.
Separate names with a comma.
