In one novel, it’s Jadzia Idaris.
(Revelation and Dust)
Same as on her grave marker, mentioned in Worlds of DS9, volume 2, Trill and Bajor.
That's cool. But my point is that the show never got around to it.

Nope. My thought when she was killed off was "good riddance to one of the most boring, self-centered characters ever."I just wondered what people think of Jadzia all these years after the show has finished,
Everyone is meant to love her right?
Bashir is infatuated, Quark too. Sisko has the deep friendship (and sleeps with the evil twin...),
Then there is Worf of course,
Random guy on shifting planet falls in love with her, ex partner from previous host etc etc....
DS9 certainly presents the idea that Jadzia is absolutely wonderful and that everyone thinks she is amazing.
I never really got it.
I find her to be arrogant, annoying, childish and selfish, and whilst the show admits to these factors at times, for me at least her character never equals the scales to account for these faults.
As such when Dukat kills her, I was very much...meh....
I found Ezri to be vast improvement on the Dax character.
So am I alone, does everyone really love Jadzia?
I'd like to see your graph on that.Fascinating!
Girls support removing her from the series, boys do not. Jealousy?![]()

I'm still pissed off that they ended it the way they did, and also that they trivialized Jadzia's loss by just shoehorning in Ezri and having her do everything Jadzia did. The latter wasn't my favorite character, but Worf certainly deserved better.I wasn’t initially a fan of the Worf romance but it won me over by the end for sure.

Worf was always big on the Klingon culture though, probably because he didn't have much exposure to it growing up and overcompensated for it (indeed, Ezri calling him out on his unrealistic idealism was her finest moment). I wasn't at all surprised that he'd want to handle his courtship and wedding to Jadzia in the proper Klingon manner, and I rather agree with Ben that if Jadzia didn't know that was coming then she hadn't really been paying attention.
FWIW, in the novelverse Bashir and Ezri don't ultimately work out, though I recall being a bit dissatisfied as to the manner and/or execution of their break-up. I was okay with it in the series as a new relationship, without any guarantees as to whether it would last.
It was a war - blow her up on the defiant.
"Hello, Starfleet Command? Yeah, we're gonna need another Defiant class as soon as possible. Yes, that's right, we got the Sao Paulo, but we lost her too..."
These sentiments would've been so momentous if Ira Behr added some some highlights of Jadzia in the final episode. It was such a slap in the face, not 1 cast member had a memory of her from those memorable six seasons of her existence??? Wow.Jadzia was one of my favourite characters, even if the writers really didn’t do a great job of exploring her character and later sidelined her completely when she simply became “Worf’s girlfriend/wife”. Even so, Terry Farrell had wonderful charisma and the character was fun, vivacious and full of life, mischief and humour. Her absence left a huge gulf in the show’s final season. Some of the best relationships on the show were Jadzia’s: I adored her relationships with Sisko, with Quark, with Kira (really wish we’d gotten to see more of them together ala “The Siege”) and her relationship with Bashir was fun, annoying and sweet all at once (I loved seeing how far it had come by the time we got to “Rejoined”).
