Those of you who see me at GB as well as here...

Speak for yourself ;)

And I wasn't laughing at Wamdue and Bones sitting in a tree so much as at the word Bromance. I've seriously never heard that before and it made me giggle.

But...you realise Wamdue is a guy right? I thought you had issues with love between two guys?
:brickwall:

Not in the least. Some of my best friends are gay. And I'm not necessarily completely straight either (let's just say if a young David Bowie came asking...). But I do object to RTD's gay agenda whereby 8 out of 10 men in his moroniverse are gay or bi, and to the overt sexual things (gay or otherwise) shoehorned into a kids show.

Really, I thought I'd explained at length.

Overt sexual things? Aside from a certain paving slab joke I really can't see a lot of really overt sex stuff in Who, torchwood yes but that is different.

Remember the record for the most gay/bi characters in an episode has to go to Moffat not RTD...

I too object to shoehorning overt sexual things into kids shows, and I am relieved that Doctor Who is not a kids show, and that no overt sexual things have been shoehorned into it so far.

You get points for using the word "moroniverse", though.

Two of our forum regulars have a bromance and they're getting married.
I could never bromarry USS Bones he does not eat Jelly Babies, it will only end badly.

I've always wanted to try jelly babies. A co-worker of mine went home to see her family, who live in London, last July. For my birthday, she told me she would bring back a bag of them. But she came back and said she forgot and she was going to have her brother mail some over. Then she quit here in December. So she lied, like a Persian Rug. And I still have never had jelly babies. But I hear they're delightful.

I should say at this point I am the grandson of a vicar.

Lemmy and Alice Cooper are the sons of vicars/ preachers.

No real relevance, but Lemmy should be mentioned every now and again for form's sake. I may go start a 'Lemmy for The 12th Doctor' thread.

A) I never knew that David Mcintee posted here. That's cool.
B) I'm surprised by the behavior of the mods over there. I used to post on OG in the books sections when the EDAs were going on but fell out when they stopped making EDAs and PDAs. I don't recall any behavior like that back then.

I've never been a huge fan if I'm honest. Dozens of sweets I'd rather eat.

Been here for a couple of years...

Me neither- it seems to be more a thing that's developed since the move to GB, or at least since the show came back.
