Thor: Ragnarok

And we still haven't seen any footage with Odin or Dr. Strange!
Well, we did have the post credits scene from Dr. Strange, so technically we have seen footage with Dr. Strange. As for Odin, I'm thinking there's a pretty good chance he's basically the McGuffin, so I can see not wanting to spoiler his appearance (unofficial leaked photos aside).
Very cool, it's about time he joined the MCY, now we just need to find a role for Ron Perlman.

Loved, loved, loved that trailer.
Loved seeing the Hulk talk, and Cate Blanchett looks like she could be another great villain. I was surprised we actually did see a bit of Surtur that at the end.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that. Still no Perlman though, right?

This fella looks kinda familiar. Can't quite put my finger on it . . .

It's interesting to see Cupid showing up for Ragnarok. Clearly this must mean that Hercules will finally make his MCU debut!

Director Taika Waititi Says 'About 80 Percent' Of The Film Was Improvised.

...Waititi would encourage his cast to play music on set, dance, eat together, and, most importantly, improv. According to the acclaimed indie director, 80 percent of Thor: Ragnarok was improvised, or ad-libbed.

"My style of working is I'll often be behind the camera, or right next to the camera yelling words at people, like, 'Say this, say this! Say it this way!'" he said. "I'll straight-up give Anthony Hopkins a line reading. I don't care."

It's that kind of attitude and loose style that landed Waititi the job in the first place, and given the film's rapturous reception in Hall H, it's clearly paying off for Marvel — even though in the moment, there were numerous times when Waititi and the cast thought they were all going to be fired.

"Mark Ruffalo would be finished shooting for the day," Waititi recalled, "and he'd come up to me and he'd be like, 'Why have we not been fired yet? We are doing the most insane stuff in this film, so where's the phone call?'"

Compare that to what just happened on the set of the Han Solo movie.

It is kind of funny to hear about all of this after everything that happened with the Han Solo movie. It's nice to see that Marvel is willing to take some chances on something different these days.
It sounds like Ragnarok will be the shortest MCU movie yet. I'm kind of surprised to hear that it's that short, it seems like a pretty jam packed movie. I just hope everything gets time to breath and develop, and that it doesn't just rush through it all.
It's pretty rare these days to get a big movie like this that is under 2hrs long.

If they make the most of the runtime, I'm fine with it (its nice that its not trying to pad itself out to 2 hours if its more natural for it to tell the story in a shorter time).

Wow, only 100 minutes?

Hopefully it flows smoothly without feeling rushed. Dunkirk is about that long but that turned out to be the perfect length, too, so it's not inherently a bad thing.
