THOR Comic Con Trailer leaked

The Thor movie trailer that was shown at Comic Con has been leaked online. It shows some of the plot and the Destroyer looks pretty cool.

It's been a long time, so I don't remember if these characters are true to the comics.

the black guy is Heimdall, guardian of the Rainbow Bridge. he's straight from Norse myth, they just went colour-blind when they cast him.

The black guy is Heimdall: he is a Norse god, guardian of the gates to Asgard, and he has always been a white guy. Surprising but pretty cool casting, in my opinion. The asian guy is Hogun the Grim, friend of Thor and member of the Warriors Three (a comic book creation): he always had a kind of Mongol warrior appearance (well, in this case look more like Japanese samurai, but still).

That's happened quite a bit with the Marvel pictures.

Technically, all the norse/nordic gods were white guys, and I couldn't remember Hogun looking mongol-like (though different artists could've had different ideas), but like I said it's been 15+ years since I read any comics.

It does look like it'll be pretty awesome. It may be the first comic book hero movie I've seen in the theater since Batman (the first).

I hate when they do that, the best trailer Marve has done so far is the first spiderman trailer IMO.

Having said that, the trailer was good and I will defo try and see this at the pictures

I dunno, but changing the ethnicity in some cruddy movie based on an overly loved kid's cartoon was reason enough for everyone to hate it. (M. Night's name didn't help, either.)

They've (whoever they are) done that multi-ethnic gods thing in Percy Jackson and maybe Clash of the Titans (if Alexander Siddig counts).
