Thomas Riker during/after the Dominion War

I always just assumed he died in prison at the hands of the Dominion. Ro too for that matter.

From Memory Alpha:

According to the Star Trek: The Fall novel The Poisoned Chalice, Thomas Riker was still alive in 2385 and had been recruited into a Starfleet Intelligence black ops team known as Active Four, working with Tuvok and Nog to find those responsible for the recent assassination of the Federation President, only to nearly be killed as part of a conspiracy to frame the Typhon Pact – a recent collection of anti-Federation powers – for the crime rather than the Cardassian terrorists truly responsible. In the next novel Peaceable Kingdoms, he assists Doctor Crusher and a Cardassian contact in finding evidence that the current Federation pro tem president – then holding the position for sixty days after the assassination until a full election can be held – is actually a former collaborator with the Cardassians during the Occupation of Bajor who adopted another Bajoran's identity to fake his death.

So good, old Thomas is alive! :techman:

He apeared in Star Trek The Fall novel, I can't remember which one

Also Imzadi II.

Given how involved Jonathan Frakes is with the Trek franchise, I'm surprised they didn't find a way to revive his character. Another reason why it's too bad DS9 didn't get an eighth season.

There's always Lower Decks...

We also wonder about, say, Simon Tarses: did his career ever recover from the Drumhead incident?

Simon's on DS9 according to the novels.

Did they rescue Moriarty's holo module from the wreck of the Enterprise D?

Was it even on the D by then? It could be in some research facility. Maybe under high scrutiny between 2387 - 2399...

Ro's also on DS9 in the novels. It seems a popular posting for former Enterprise crew.

I love the irony of Ro's career. She betrays Starfleet to join the Maquis, survives the purge, and joins up with the Bajoran militia. Then, when Bajor joins the Federation, said militia is folded into Starfleet. So, Ro is returned to Starfleet for a third time.

Simon's on DS9 according to the novels.

I've heard various versions, from "he got the boot" to "he went to the academy, became an officer and a doctor both".

"The Poisoned Chalice"!

"The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle, the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true.":D

I don't desire to see him dead. I just think he'd be pretty lucky to have survived all those dangers.
That sounds about right, there was a lot of things which occurred after Thom was captured and highly unlikely in captivity could've survived. Again, there was a lot of horrible things reported during the war and that's including the Klingon conflict and Thomas Riker was not known to be a person who had much luck... in anything.

Now, to entertain this thought he survived he could have... nah, forget it; it's not possible for him to have survived those obstacles.

Yes it is, your opinion isn't fact. Characters survive against all odds all the time for the sake of storytelling.

I thought this thread was all about opinions which I agreed with another member. Please share your opinion, if you have any?

You phrased your opinion as a fact, "it's not possible for him to have survived those obstacles" which is objectively wrong because it is possible.

So, you're in this thread because of me and what I mentioned and not about the topic. Please share something about the topic?
