Tholian Web & Ralph Senensky

And since they didn’t expect to find the scientists dead on PSI 2000, they weren’t supposed to be sealed either. So while Tormolen gets crap for taking off his glove, all he really thought he was doing was exposing his hand to cold air. He wasn’t breaking a seal on a containment suit or something.

Actually just being cold weather gear makes the guy seem a little less careless.
Sulu and friends could have used them in The Enemy Within.

Kirk missed his opportunity to say.....”Just stay cool Mr. Sulu.”

"For god sakes whatever you do don't send down some thick heavy blankets down to Sulu they might duplicate! The last thing they would need would be double the number of blankets!"

Have you forgotten that the duplicated blankets would be one weak, the other evil? While Kirk was doing Jekyll and Hyde, Sulu would have been trapped in a Stephen King story. They just couldn't take that chance.

.... It's a solid episode all around.

With the exception of the ridiculous web itself. Is it supposed to be a weapon? A containment device? It's only use apparently is against a ship that is already immobilized, otherwise said ship could just move away before the web is complete. And if the target is already immobilized, why bother with the web? Just destroy the target, or board it and capture it, or leave.
