Not bad at a first glance...
However, in three or four years or so, I want to watch Star Trek (EVERYTHING Star Trek) with my children without them thinking that their daddy is some kind of perv.

As far as I judge the adult entertainment industry (and its target audience), stuff like that has already been done...

1. As several others have said, I want Trek to be big. Epic. Bigger and grander than anything ever pulled off in Star Trek before.

2. To be entertaining. It really is that simple. If it keeps me interested and entertained the entire time, it's a success. I've had movies hold my attention for 4 hours, and I've had 75 minute movies completely lose me. I want Trek to be a movie that can keep me interested and on the edge of my seat indefinately.

3. No not be laughable. The best example I can come up with it The Dark Knight. I absolutely love that movie to death, but anytime I think about or consider the idea of a guy dressing up as a bat and calling himself Batman to fight crime, it kinda loses its impact because it just seems so silly. I want a movie that won't suddenly look silly because I consider one detail of it.
