I like that we actually got a little backstory on the monster. It's guarding the temple. I'll bet the temple is underground, which explains the seemingly random nature of Smokey's appearances.

Yeah. If you know your "Solitary" trivia, Sayid tried to shoot her too. But it clicked.

That's what she'd said?? Incredible! Seriously, this is the most well constructed show since Babylon 5.

It was on in syndication Monday. So I cheated. But I paid special attention given the end of "The Little Prince."
