TD's question had to do with the subject; thus many people gave him the right answer. Actually, he asked "A person and I, or me and a person met last night." Clearly, it was the former.

But we all know Tom Daley is gay (and one hell of a good-looking one), so he was just reluctant to say, "My boyfriend and I went to ..."

It looks grammatically correct to me, but I would just write for simplicity, ” The more people you speak with ...”

At school they taught us that it's supposed to be "the more people you speak with".
But since most of my teachers were no native speakers, they might have made a mistake.

I guess they took the "don't end your sentence with a preposition" bullshit rule and also applied it to dependent clauses. I don't think it's wrong, it's just needlessly complicated (the type of thing that's common in the legal profession but they're trying to move away from).

Now, it's "I feel bad (about that)," not "I feel badly." The former expresses regret; the latter requires medical attention.

I remember seeing a movie where a woman says "I feel badly" and Kirk Douglas corrects her. Can't recall the name of the picture.

I've been trying to recall the name of that picture for ages! I love that scene and it's what I think of immediately when I hear someone say "I feel badly." If you think of the film title, please let me know, ok?
