That's simply brilliant. There are several more stories like that out there, so thank the gods for computers, which have helped so many autistic people to communicate.
 
My wife is autistic. She has Asperger's Syndrome which is a form of high functioning autism. She communicates with others that have autism on the computer and it is amazing how the computer has helped people with autism reach out.
 
She's so much like my autistic nephew - the tantrums, the restlessness and talking in gibberish, other behaviors considered "inappropriate." But deep inside, she's a bright normal young girl with a story to tell.

This is amazing. The computer saved her. I hope that this approach is now being used with other autistic people. Also, the insights gained by her being able to describe her symptoms and experience should help with developing additional treatments.
