Third Trailer

I really hope that the third (and likely final) trailer is a much more classic Star Trek trailer. They should look at the trailers for TWOK, TUC, GEN and FC for examples of what to do.

Give us some inkling of the story, some good quotes, a voice-over introduction, a good tag-line.

Though, I doubt any tag-line in Trek will ever top TWOKs "At the End of the Universe Lies the Beginning of Vengeance" - I mean, that was just kickass.

If I had to guess, given the nature of the film the trailer will be attached to, I'm going to guess that this one will be targeted at the genre fans.

By that, I mean that this will probably be the one that caters most to the fans. Either that, or I'm dead wrong. ;)

SPOCK: They’ll look up and shout "Save us," and I’ll look down and whisper "No."

Good news.

Although I do hope they keep it as less spoilery as possible and not do one of those that shows the entire movie in 2 minutes

Why appeal to the genre market with this final trailer? Aren't we already a sure-fire thing?

I don't think it will be targeted to the genre market. With one month before opening, the trailer will probably showcase the source material for the TV spots, and those are aimed at the widest possible crowed.

I prefer 'The human adventure is just beginning ' myself. Just awesome imo.

Ode to Joy  ..........................another trailer for us to pick apart - frame by frame..................

It may sound weird, but I'd prefer, in a perfect world, that there were no more trailers. I mean that I can wait until the movie comes out.
You may say "Well then, DON'T watch the new trailer!" but the thing is of course I wouldn't be able to resist...which is why we come back to me wishing they'd deny me even seeing it. Do you know what I mean?

Looking forward to it. Not planning on seeing "The Watchman", but I'm sure the trailer will hit the Net just as soon as the last one did (the one releasesd with the Bond film).

I have a feeling that this trailer will have a voice over, or at least more quotes and be less "Teaser-ish".

But yeah, I still feel like I don't know a lot about the story, so I hope they don't give to much away.

Not interested in seeing the watchmen, but i"ll be waiting online. :)

I do know what you mean :)

Trekmovie reported this yesterday.

The studio shouldn't waste money on trailers or promotions for this film aimed at fans. We're a lock; as STC says every one of us is going to see this movie.

Yeah, and I think they're hoping Watchmen pulls in non-genre people like 300 did and they're hoping Star Trek will.

Count on the trailer being aimed at people they managed to get in the theater for Watchmen who wouldn't automatically be there.
