Seeing Robert Patrick guest star on a couple of episodes as a T1000 would be really cool. Hopefully the producers will be able to make it happen.

Huh? IIRC, of the three "evil" Terminators we've seen in the contemporary setting, Cromartie, Vick and Carter, Vick is the only one that has been "taken down". Carter is still in the bomb shelter, presumably having gone back into stand-by when the shelter doors shut, and while Cromartie took a serious hit in the pilot, that still wasn't enough to take him down. In fact, Cromartie might be the toughest and most persistant Terminator we've seen yet. Including Arnie and T-1000.

I wish the commercials for T2 didn't try to sell the movie on Arnie being the good guy and the other guy also being a terminator. That would've been an awesome reveal.
I showed T2 to someone that hadnt seen any media on the movie, or the movie either... the big reveal went over REALLY well...
I did the same with my girlfriend a couple months ago, and it really caught her by surprise, too. It was all I could do to avoid laughing when she started cheering for the T-1000 to reach John first!
yeah but does it look good(never seen Smallville) or cheesy, like the melting toaster in that Heroes episode where Sylar kills the Ramones fan?
EDIT: I just remembered there was a show on Nickelodeon in the 90s that had a girl that would turn into liquid metal. So yeah if they could do it for a Nick show back then Im sure they could do it even better on SCC.
Cameron sold the rights to the Terminator Story - but maintained the trademark on the terms T-800 and T-1000. Thats the behind the scenes reason why in Terminator 3 Arnie became a T-850 instead of a T-800. It seems to apply to Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles as well. The Terminators seen so far in it are the T-888 series of terminators and the T-600 series (though this is conjecture).

Just remember that Brainiac on Smallville is made of the silver kryptonite crystals which is why he's supposed to be crystalline in his morphing.

Well, check out the reflections on this chrome-plated CGI robot. You can even see its cowering victim reflected on it, most apparently on its left shoulder.
both look pretty good to me! we should at least see a prototype version of a T-1000.

According to the latest reports from Tvguide.com, it's "very likely" to come back. Which is good.
Anyway, I don't think they're going to have a T-1000 on the show because:
A) T2 implied that there was only one T-1000 in existence. Various novels also hint that Skynet was reluctant to create the T-1000 at all because it could potentially become more intelligent than Skynet.
B) The show has a limited budget. A T-1000 even for one episode would require lots of expensive CGI stuff.
Then again, this makes me wonder - how much money did it cost the DS9 producers to do all the SFX with Odo?
Officially there has been no announcement; however, the producers have been given permission to hire directors for a minimum of three more episodes.
I agree, I don't think it would be a budget issue for an episode or two. That effect really isn't that expensive any more even for a TV budget. Hell, DS9 did it with Odo once every few episodes and that was over 10 years ago. It really isn't that costly in this day and age.
I wouldn't mind him showing up in an episode myself, but as long as The Unit is going strong I think that it's doubtful.
He still does the narration for Disorderly Conduct so I think it's possible he could do a cameo role in SCC.
