Think this could end up being the BEST Trek movie ever?

There's always the possibility. Won't know though for another 11 months...

There is a hypothetical chance; because I don't have enough data to make an evaluation of the film.
But no, I don't think it will. And even if it does, I doubt it'll get nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture. ROTK was an exception, not the rule. Most feasible non-technical Oscar would be something like, I don't know, Oscar For Best Supporting Actor given to Nimoy.

Well, I think it's WAY too early for me to vote in any poll.
I certainly *hope* it is a huge smash. And I believe it can be. They just have to make a great film...AND they have to market it right in order to get the tushies in the seats - at least at the beginning.
If the film is good, word-of-mouth can take it a long way...but it is absolutely essential that they get a nice big slice of the non-Trek fan contingent into the theater at the beginning.

Well, at this point it could go either way, but of course I hope that it'll be a hit.
I do have a good feeling about it. The real trailer should confirm this. If it does, the movie will be a success. My feelings are infallible.
