Things you buy only at Crimbo

What sorts of food do you buy only at crimbo time that you can by all year round but don't?

I don't know why but every crimbo I buy:

  • A big tub of Twiglets
  • A large round tin of Celebrations
  • A big bag of Bombay Mix.

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and guess I'd have to be British to understand what the hell was going on in that video.

And I still don't know what Crimbo is.

Also, wtf is a twiglet?

And Bombay mix...is that like, a bag of ingredients to make your own gin?

Christmas. :brickwall:
Well, thanks for the explanation. Of course, it wouldn't kill you to actually use the word "Christmas" if you want people to post in your thread. I thought Crimbo was just another one of those weird, made-up holidays or some kind of pagan ritual or something.

I just asked my sister who lived in England for two years and my good friend from high school who lives back in his native Scotland about this word and they'd both heard it used to denote the commercial aspect of Christmas, but it's not exactly a really common slang word people use every day, or a word "outsiders" would be well familiar with.

Certainly nothing to bang one's head in frustration over.
