What's this? A Talosian nitpicking about suspension of disbelief? That's rich.

In the first episode of DS9, Deep Space Nine had a lot of light shining through and dust in the air. It's clearly natural sunlight and all I can think of when I see it is "bright L.A. sun shining through the warehouse and onto the sets".

It was probably meant to be the Bajoran sun because the station wasn't moved yet.

The future smells like wood! Six years ago I went on the TARDIS set for Doctor Who. That set was basically created inside this big wood sphere to create a 360 degree set. And, yeah, the TARDIS smelled like wood. I'm sure Discovery does as well!

It's considered fairly expensive in the UK at least. But that's because we have Argos that sell many of and type of flatpack stuff, but much cheaper (but really not as sturdy either).

Consequences of HDTV tech continue to affect the end results of production, then. Can't be helped, unless they fix it up in pre-DVD work.

Guessing that forces a bit of re-recording of dialogue?

More likely some stagehand goes underneath and reinforces the flooring or they pull the carpeting and do it that way.

"Reticuli"...I think that's the name of a bookshelf I bought at Ikea.
