Things that frustrate us all

I don't even bring my phone when I go out unless (a) I have to call someone or receive a call while I'm out or (b) I think I might need it because I'm on my way to a store where I'll be using digital coupons on an app.

When I sold stuff on Ebay or elsewhere - you have no rights as a seller. Whenever I think I have something highly valuable, chances are it turns into a freakshow where the buyer ends up complaining, begging, and crying for a return - then threatening to report me for explaining myself. This isn't always the case, but with the hassle I've gone through with Ebay and other places, I'm done trying to sell. I'll just donate anonymously from now on for the most part. My policy as a buyer has always been no returns, for any reason.

Yet I always seem to come across these idiotic people who don't understand how to read a listing. I listed everything I can think of in the description box, and people still find something to complain about when they get the item. If something happens to the package, or item in shipping - that is out of my control, and I have no obligation to validate a return.

People these days find a reason to complain about everything and make it personal for no reason. Common sense is increasingly rare, and people who actually read a description are even rarer.

I recently sold an item on Facebook Marketplace. The sale went fine. Then a few days later the buyer is already asking questions about it. I listed everything in the description when I sold it. When it is out my door, and purchased, I have no reason to care or to feel sorry for them - when they are incapable of reading or doing research about the item on their own.
I don't know where you live, but here in Europe there is Vinted. I buy and sell things there occasionally

Grain Beetles in my kitchen cabinet, had to throw out everything in there and going on a killing spree with a chlorine bleach spray, upside is that i don't think my kitchen ever been so clean.

I had those recently. Threw out everything with flour in it. Think producers are letting things slide pestwise, cause they arrived in something with grain in it.

You know why Google would be giving me this all week long? Doesn't happen every time, just a lot of the time. Makes me click on all the images of bicycles or busses.

yeah absolutely, pretty sure they came with a pack of whole wheat flour i bought, opened it but decided not to mix it with the normal flour so i just put it back in the cabinet... yikes..
You should freeze the flour and grain for a few days, then take it out and store it in a container, with a sealable lid, that way any eggs in the flour from the manufacturer won't hatch, and any new bugs after your purchase can't get in.

That occurs if you have an IP address on their suspect list. Sometimes clearing cookies might help. The worst is Cloudflare click the box to prove you're a human. For me, it will go on an endless loop.

I forgot to update you all on that horrible homeless girl.

So, about a week and-a-half ago I am exercising. I go to use a restroom. While I am doing that, a group of guys on a bicycle come up to her, a dirt-bag pow wow. I pee, get out and one of them comes over to me, asking if I knew she was his friend. I didn't even know her name, so how would I even know this? Then he starts threatening to kick my ass and beat the shit out of me if I ever steal her stuff again.

I call the police, a cop comes out. The other guys were gone and the guy on the bicycle took off. He talks to her, they both come over. She starts accusing me of stealing her stuff, I didn't. I hadn't even had a chance that day even if I wanted to. He asks why she didn't call the police about, she made excuses, he pointed out if she wanted to, she could have, like using a phone from one of the guys she knows. She said her phone was stolen (true) but for some baffling reason lied about where it was stolen. Then her craziness started to come threw and she claimed I talked to her and told her I stole her stuff, two different times. Never happened. She just made that shit up out of thin air.

It started to become apparent to me that the cop recognized she wasn't right and I was being truthful.

I pointed out as far as I knew, she had all her stuff (that wasn't stored in bushes somewhere in the park); she had stuff on her back, and a folding chair (which I think she stole) with stuff in it, so what is she saying I stole? The rest of her stuff disappeared over two weeks (presumably moved away to different parts in the park bushes).

He gave her the lecture that if she leaves her stuff unattended, she has no reasonably expectation of privacy and yes, things can get stolen. she should know, after all, she's stolen food from that homeless veteran I mentioned in posts here, at least six separate occasions that I can recall (three I personally witnessed). she also had the audacity to tell the cop she never steals. LOL.

He wanted the names of the guys on the bicycles, she refused to give them. After some back and forth, he finally told her she has to find someplace else to hang out. That he'll make a concerted effort to come around, even look inside the park and if he shes her/her and the guys, he'll trespass all of them from the park.

She hasn't been seen since. Some of the homeless veteran's food was stolen again, so presumably she came back while neither of us were there.

We are now shitbag free. Yay. Like a year of hell dealing with her.

A gang of ‘efficiency experts’ touring around at my workplace this week.
Especially loved the MF in the manga T-shirts (full on hipster idiot).

There is a moment in ‘A few good men’ when Nicholson looks contemptuously around him and snarls “You fuckin’ people..”.That was my default mode with these guys.
