Things that frustrate us all

Blue screen of death on my pc yesterday evening. Spent all day today doing a command prompt chkdsk /r on the OS drive. Will attempt my monthly back up this evening. When I tried the monthly backup last night after the death screen, It failed midway through my clone of the OS drive to the backup drive, so I had to reformat and re-partition the backup drive after the chkdsk on my OS drive.

IT man says what?

OT a few relatives and my best friend saying I should lose weight, my grandfather ever suggested ozempic. How about you all fuck off? Due to my autism my taste palet is overly sensitive and I refuse to eat food that I'm not familiar with, you try losing weight when you have limited food options

I don't blame you, I'm on Mounjaro, but it is because I was diagnosed last year with type 2 diabetes. The same medication is prescribed for weight loss as Zepbound. I have lost weight, but the main reason I'm on it is to reduce my A1C. If you take those type of medications, you have to maintain an exercise routine, or you won't just lose weight in the form of fat, but also muscle mass as well. It also depletes your B12 levels, leading to feelings of low energy, so if you take one of those types of GLP-1 or GIP inhibitors, you need to take either a Methylated or Methylcobalamin form of B12 vitamin as well. If I didn't have diabetes, I wouldn't be taking either medication.

edit. The monthly back up of my OS drive was a success.

Losing weight is a pain under any circumstances. Adding autism to the mix makes it a whole different level of tough. Depression doesn't help either.

This happened to me in 2009 after an apparently unwise tv show download. Somehow at the time I actually knew what to do. I went to the DOS shell and downloaded an antivirus program.
I think my computer was trying to bring up an ad at the bottom right of my screen sent by my free antivirus, about how my location IP was compromised, in order to sell me a VPN, which I already use, so my location IP wasn't actually compromised. At the same time I was trying to close a PDF file after printing a hard copy, and everything locked up. Then the blue screen. It's all better now, after 5 hours of chkdsk /r from the DOS shell command prompt. I had an additional back-up from October 9 that I could use, if needed. I created my November back-up by writing over my September ninth back-up disk.

Saying ''good morning'' only to be ordered moments later to excuse myself for (unintended) impoliteness.*

Speaking only when spoken to is not a sane option, however.

(* I do wish this had been a first.)

I'm over it. It's just another coffin in the nail, as I like to say.

In yet another attempt to make their site more annoying than it already is, in the middle of today, Indeed.com has gotten rid of the miles radius search, and replaced it with minutes of travel time, which goes from where you are and jerked up to 15 minutes and them higher. Like all travel times are equal.

This is the same site that implemented that awful CloudFlare. Go the the site, get CloudFlare verification. Do a search, CloudFlare verification. Change search criteria, CloudFlare verification. Change job title search, CloudFlare verification. Click on a job, CloudFlare verification with no back button, got to do the search again. Do the search again, CloudFlare verification. Back button: CloudFlare verification.

EDIT:
This shit doesn't happen with HCaptcha and reCAPTCHA.

Two pet peeves when it comes to house listings.

1) When you search for a house with a guest house/ADU and houses that don't have one appear in the search result because the sellers label the guest bedroom as a guest house.

2) When there's a video and the video is just a collection of the photos already in the listing.

People who take a shit in a public restroom, and then don't flush.

People who pee in urinals and don't flush --like I yearn to see and smell some other dudes piss. I've probably bitched abut this before in this thread, but I don't recall now.

Smokers who smoke at entrance doors and back door employee exit doors of businesses and fill the place with Godawful smoke. While on that, smokers who go outside and take five/ten minute smoke breaks on the clock, while other employees who do not smoke, and WORKING. the vape-holes are doing this now, too.
