Things that frustrate us all

God, I am so tired of basic things being fucked up. It was bad enough my sick leave is fucked up again, now my prescription is fucked up again and I CAN'T call them to fix it. *sigh* I guess it will be an email. I hate the say this but I'm glad my therapy is ending and I'll get my prescriptions and sick leave from the doctors office, because the incompetence during the summer holidays is staggering!

Today, I spent an hour or so travelling to a local attraction. I was intending to buy an annual season ticket and had checked the website in advance.

I needed a photograph. I have photographs. I could have taken one with me but, as the website didn't mention this, I didn't. Apparently it is my fault for not guessing that I would need a picture...

They did tell me that I could pay for the season ticket and go in today. I would still have to return to give them a photograph and, as the season ticket would date from today but I would not be able to use it until it has been "processed" (ie I would not be able to go in when I returned with the photograph), it didn't seem a value-for-money option so I declined.

Came home, cross, and not at all inclined to bother going back.

That the BBC news website had live reporting updates on Taylor Swifts engagement. I mean good for the couple but surely it wasn't the biggest news story available?

Not only does the media consider this of the utmost importance, but I’ve heard that people have begun posting themselves reacting to the news as if their own reactions are also of the utmost importance to everyone.

In other breaking news, I had a chicken salad sandwich with lettuce and tomato yesterday and it was amazing.

White, brown, seeded Bread? 🤣

The media has the nerve to complain that nobody is getting their news from reliable news outlets while they insert those vapid non- stories about celebrities or those “and finally”humorous? items.

Something similar annoys me: people complaining about the quality about articles because they aren't interesting. Unfortunately, news isn't personalised for everyone yet. You know you can always ignore the article and read another article you do find interesting, not everything is catered to your interests. It's not a menu!

White Italian bread. 😋

If I would have thought of it at the time, I could have posted a video of myself eating the sandwich. Then I could post videos of me reacting to videos of everyone reacting to the video of me eating the sandwich.
In additional sandwich news: Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato on sliced San Francisco sourdough bread. I added Padron red vine ripened peppers (for maximum heat) and seasoned with mustard, as I don't like the bland flavor of mayonnaise.

...Now back to the "important" Swift News.

I'm somehow even more annoyed than when I wrote this. I want to have a conversation with my work to fire me because I've been absent too long, but my social assistant is sabotaging my plan and asked to stay on sick leave because she wants to keep my work a plan B in case my plan to go back to school backfires or is cancelled.

The same thing goes for ending therapy, my psychologist there consinders it a bad idea to end my therapy there. Because she wants to keep monitoring me to know how I'm doing at school, so she prefers that I'll still go to therapy for one day.

But I want neither! Soon it's September, it was my wish server ties with both my job and therapy before the end of the year. Now I won't get rid of it until February next year because my internship starts then. I don't want my work to be a plan B, I don't want to keep going to therapy because I consider several people incompetent and no longer wish to go there. I'm so tired, annoyed and frustrated

Unless government assistance is cut off when you quit. In the US, unemployment rules vary from state to state, but in all states you lose eligibility to collect if you quit, versus being let go by your employer.

The NYT paywalled several of their previously-free daily puzzles. Not the biggest deal in the world, but I'd gotten into the habit of doing all of them each evening and they paywalled my personal favorite, Letterboxed.
