Why is that? They fit the same threaded sockets that have been around for the last 140 years or so.I can't use LED bulbs in any fixture in my house or garage, yet they're the only kind of bulbs you can fucking BUY these days.

LED bulbs can't be used in fully enclosed fixtures, and I have a lot of those in my house.
Some bulbs are rated for enclosed fixtures and can also use with a dimmer, if necessary. I know they have them at Home Depot, Lowes and Amazon. There are even sites that rate the bulbs and provide links to where you can purchase them.

Thank you for mentioning this. I have to admit, I was not aware of this, and I also have a lot of fully enclosed fixtures. And of course, I use LED bulbs in them, because, as you note, those are pretty much all you can buy these days.
After reading your post, I did some Googling, and generally, it seems to be more of a case that you shouldn't, not that you specifically can't. It looks like the main problem is that the bulbs will overheat and shorten their lifespan.
Apparently they have bulbs that can specifically be used for enclosed fixtures. I checked mine, and they are not.
I guess I will have to look for those ones the next time I am out. I can only imagine that they will probably be more expensive. 
The Golden 1 Credit union has sent an email for me to log in and check my refreshed credit score.
I go to the login page, enter my account number and password, receive a text on my cell with a code to enter on the next screen. The next screen is blank, with no place to enter a code. Refreshing the page doesn't work.
Now I remember why I make my Credit Union and credit cards send me snail mail. It's because their websites are s#!t.
Update. After numerous tries I finally get the screen to enter the code, it goes to my account, but I get the following message:

My Credit Score is not accessible at this time. Please try again later.

I must have a cold. I keep getting the same micro dream where I need to accomplish something in order to fall asleep but I can't because nothing I'm given matches the goal and then I wake up. Can't really explain it. It's like busy work and it feels like I haven't fallen asleep even though I'm having the same micro dream over and over. I know I'm having them too so why can't I turn it off and just go to sleep? It's really exhausting.
Finally got an appointment with the specialist... for two weeks from now.
Hey, at least that's better than the month+ I have to wait to get my scans done for whatever is going on with my bladder or kidney.
I'm glad I finally have a job and I'm making money, but now I'm getting a lot more hours and I'm getting nervous I'm gonna be kicked off Medicaid. If I do get kicked off I can probably get Affordable Care Act insurance, but that means I will have to start paying some for it, and I'm not sure if I can afford that now that I'm having issues and seeing doctors a lot.
Yeah, those drive my mom and I crazy. I can understand wanting them to be bright enough to see while you're out driving in the dark, but it would be nice if they could do that without blinding all of the other drivers going in the opposite direction.

Well, it's just a dermatologist, so not really *that* hard to find. But they're still technically a specialist. It's taken months--at least 6--to go back and forth between doctors, and I'm far worse than I ever was.
I'll spare you the long story but I've been disfigured for 6 months & after several visits to the GP, and several calls to different dermatologists, I finally got one that takes my insurance and is within 45 minutes drive from my house. But I still have to wait another two weeks.

I'm pissed at my work: the work schedule is Monday to Thursday 8 am to 16.30 and Friday from 8 am to 3 pm, they’re going to change it to Monday till Friday 7.45 to 16.30. Those working full-time get more PTO days and the mandatory closing period will be changed from 3 weeks to two weeks. God, I wish I was fired already. It's not fair that can't put in my two weeks notice and not get any unemployment money
The package delivery driver didn't knock or ring, and I wasn't near my phone or computer to receive the email, so my package was sitting out there for an hour. The worst part was there was no effort made to hide that it's there by putting it behind the pillar. Nope, just leave this big giant box that's obviously from Target sitting out in the open.
They almost never ring the doorbell, but at least my porch isn't visible from the street or from the canal bank that provides access to the house. The porch is hidden from the canal bank road by a grapefruit tree, and I live 500 feet from the nearest paved road. The house blocks the view of the porch from the paved road, and the branches hang low enough on the grapefruit tree that you can't see the top of the porch from the canal. I also have 4K security cameras aimed at the porch. I haven't had any deliveries stolen yet.
I get that anger.
We have two chairs and a pillar that's right next to the front door. Packages are always left right in front of the door instead of behind the pillar where it's more hidden or on one of the chairs so the box doesn't get hit when we open the door... hell, it would be easier for them to just put it on the chair since they won't need to bend down to place the package.
Never mind that the fact they don't knock or ring the doorbell. (We have a Ring camera and a Nest camera, so we know when they arrive. But if we aren't home... well, we aren't around to make sure people don't try to get the 5 finger discount.)
As bad as package delivery has gotten, I'm fortunate to have not yet experienced drivers who don't even make an effort to deliver the package and instead mark it as missed delivery and claim I wasn't home. People have shown their home security videos where the driver walks up to the door with no package and leaves the missed delivery sticker. Or they idle in front of the house for a while, don't get out, then drive away.
The thing that always gets me... why would you park your delivery truck at a house next door to where you are making the delivery instead of right in front it? (This has become more and more frequent in the last couple years.) Even when they are not making multiple deliveries around a few houses.
Luckily we have our dogs, and they're pretty quick to let us know when someone is parked in front of the house. We do feel a little bad though, because the place that we get their meds from puts treats in the box, so now every time a delivery comes they expect to get something.
We did run into a situation one day where we were either gone or missed the alert that the delivery had come and the package ended up sitting outside until either that night or the next morning.
There are times that my ARFID pisses me off, and now is such a time. I'm in psychiatry now, so there is menu for each week. Thankfully, I can alter it. This is my second week here, my first week I had no trouble, I had the altered menu.
However, it happened twice now that I had the original menu and not the altered menu. And I can't decide what pisses me off more my ARFID, or the disrespect towards my ARFID. One of my fellow patients said: "it's not an hotel." My best friend said something nasty as well.
They both have no idea how much trouble I had growing up because of my ARFID: I remember attending the new years eve gathering with my family and going home hungry because I didn’t like the food.
I remember having discussions with my mom about eating what the host prepared when visiting her friends and again going home hungry because I didn’t like the food because she considered it rude to make demands when eating at someone's else's house. Personally, I considered it rude not eating anything, but mom's word was law. So to my best friend and my fellow patient I say this: get rekt!
