Things that frustrate us all

Indeed, good luck to her. Cancer is a bitch as you say. I'm living with it, but thankfully it doesn't have to be a death sentence today, though I accept that depends on the severity of the diagnosis. Hopefully Kate, and indeed every other unfortunate who have discovered they are in similar positions, have better days in front of them

I posted in the mental health thread about my father's upcoming tests to see he has dementia, I talked to some friends about it and they were all supportive. My maternal grandad on the other hand, he was like: you should accept it and get over it. Fuck you, asshole :censored::brickwall::thumbdown:

Old school generational view. Pull yourself up by your boot straps.

It sucks, but I saw it with my wife's grandmother when a family member discharged from the military due to trauma.

At the gym there are two drinking fountains right next to each other. But whenever someone wants to fill up a water bottle — a much longer process than taking seven or eight sips — they always like to stand in front of both fountains.

I factory reset my iPhone before updating my new number so couldn't log back in but still have the same email address so went through the process of adding the number and got an email saying I would be sent a code in 24 hours. Exactly 24 hours later I got the email, entered the code and now it's telling me I have to wait two weeks before I get a code sent to my new number so I can use it to log back in to my iPhone account. I'm all for security but that's just ridiculous.

Got an entertainment "suggested for you" posting on Facebook where the channel rips on Wil Wheaton for leaving TNG like he was pulling a Shelly Long or McLean Stevenson and makes fun of his thin acting resume afterward.... completely oblivious to Wheaton's family situation and how he never wanted to be an actor in the first place. :censored:
