Things that frustrate us all

Not a very safe thing to do. What happens when somebody finds it? Or you lose it? Or both?

Obscure as those may be, they can still be guessed. And you can be tricked into giving them up.

The only really secure passwords? Unintelligible gibberish. Those can't be guessed OR given up.
Pass phrases are also good (Keep out!) or mixing numbers/symbols for letters (K33p 0ut!).

As opposed to having some site have them all? Sites can be hacked. Hard to hack a piece of paper.

As far as losing it, not going to happen. I have... measures in place to prevent that. And I know this sounds odd, or at least like something a kid would do, but I have my own code system of writing such things.

I look up dogs on Petfinder, I uncheck the out-of-states box so that I only see local pets, but there are still many out-of-state pets showing up (mostly from Texas) because these rescues are listing these animals as being in my city! :brickwall:

I kept the combination for a work safe in my wallet, written on the back of a business card (unrelated to work), as a phone number with extra digits, not in order, with inverse two-digit binary (1 = 10, 2 = 01, 3 = 00) as dots under the number pair to indicate the sequence.

I'm sorry to hear that! Glad you straightened things out quickly.
I just feel like an idiot, because I always swore I wouldn't be dumb enough to fall for something like. I really blame it on being distracted with the dogs and all of that, I think if I had just been sitting home on IG or watching TV/a movie, I probably would figured out what was going on and hung up on him.

Yeah, I run into that too. I've gotten on there and looked at animals like horses or pigs, just for the hell of it, I'm not in position to get more pets, and even though I pick a 15 or 20 mile radius, I'll still get results from places like California, or Nevada.

This isn't a frustration, but it's something I have been wanting to do for a while...

Go into a store and buy only the BOGOs or really good deals, which I do anyway. But as I get the receipt, and it shows all those deals and how much I saved, I turn to the cashier and say in my best MORTAL KOMBAT voice...

FRUGALITY!

Being analyzed. Strange coming from a mental health professional but I hate being analyzed myself. I also hate not understanding my own brain and trying to articulate what I need. So, when I share my initial thoughts and people are like "Do you mean like this?" I just get so freaking frustrated that I don't bother to say anything at all.

No clue if anyone else experiences this.

Buddy, I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes, I wish I was telepathic... I could easily show what I mean. Words seem to fail me often.

Yeap, pretty much every time I talk to the wife…;)

Cheers,
-CM-

Not really on topic but does anyone here have experience with crypto? I never did it, even when it first started, but it always confused the hell out of me.
