On the contrary, my dentist has a very comfortable one. But when they tilt it too far I totally agree with you. I hate the feeling that I'll slip down any moment. What I really am scared of is the dentist himself, or his drill, rather. In the past I've encountered several dentists who apparently were excluded from the guild of butchers for being too brutal.
People who are in a mad rush to whip out in front of you on the road only to drive 10 miles or more below the speed limit once they're there, and there are no passing zones in sight. This doesn't irritate me as much when there's a long line of traffic behind me and they take a narrow opening. But when I'm the only one? You should have waited, asshat.
I was browsing Facebook today and happened to notice that one of my favorite K-pop groups called Dreamcatcher is actually having a concert in my country! Excitedly I quickly Googled to see how much were the tickets..only to discover they were sold out about a month ago, during the very first day they came out, apparently...sigh.

Heaven forbid you do your part and explain germ transfer and how good friends don't intentionally infect others for their own gain. Like boredom.
She texts me she's going to build a fence because he loves our kids and can't stand to be away but doesn't want him sad ever again over silly things like germs unless it's deadly. (I am speechless) hey, I can deal with the sniffle kid. Can't cope with a family throwing up, thanks.
I hope you aren't bluffing about the fence because you have no idea I am a renter. And when I move out soon I will have the last laugh. Poor child.

It's hard to be a K-Pop fan in Europe. Concerts sell out super fast because they're a rare thing on this side of the world. They're also hosted in the bigger cities. It's not unusual to see determined fans travelling from other countries.
Dreamcatcher is a unique group - sorta like Babymetal who are visiting Finland for the first time next year. I'm familiar with the metal music scene over there and wonder how much the Metal to K-Pop fans ratio played a part in ticket sales.
Just had another "friend" jump on the "people abuse opiates and the pharmaceutical companies pushing them are to blame and we should ban ALL opiates" bandwagon.
Well, FUCK YOU, guy. I know this is part of your "I am a woke Marxist and I hate all corporations" schtick, but my wife SURVIVES because of Fentanyl. It's literally the reason she can get out of bed and go do things (like yesterday we went and saw a reshowing of ST:TMP) instead of lying in bed fucking CRYING all day, wishing to die.

Yeah, thanks. It's a long story that I've told most of elsewhere on here, but to sum up: 13 years ago she nearly died, but then she got a new doctor who took her off most of the stuff she'd been on, gave her a Fentanyl patch prescription, and she improved like 1000% and wants to live.
I'm 100% behind cutting opiate abuse, and harshly punishing drug companies who effectively "push" opiates, but when your policies fuck with people who are getting by BECAUSE of them, that pushes the berserk button.
I hate it when fast food chains use obviously fake food in their ads. I'd really like to have that banned.
IMHO, the food as presented in the ads should be required to look exactly like what is served. Anything else is deceptive. And if that hurts sales? Too fucking bad. That's the restaurant's fault for not making food that looks good.

Yeah, that ignorant, uninformed attitude tees me off as well. Just because some people abuse opiate/opioid drugs and some doctors overprescribe them, that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of people who need those drugs to deal with terrible chronic pain and who use them responsibly.
As for myself, I take Tramadol* for moderately severe abdominal pain. (I have a small intestine inflammation that flares up every now and again, and so far three G.I. specialists have no idea what's causing it.) I use the stuff when I need it to control the pain, and stop using it when I don't need it.
*An opioid analgesic that's not as strong as Vicodin (hydrocodone), which isn't as strong as Percocet (oxycodone), which isn't as strong as heavy-duty shit like Demerol and Dilaudid.
Maybe a compromise would be perfect: people who need opiates for medical reasons should get them (I had migraine ever since I was a baby and fortunately I can do without opiates but the stuff I am taking is only a tiny step below them).
But I think healthy people shouldn't get opiates that easily. Over here, it works quite well: opiates are rarely prescribed and expensive, so the insurances check such prescriptions very thoroughly. There is no prob if the patient really needs them but in cases of doubt the insurances demand a second opinion by an impartial doctor.
Sadly, in my region there are lots of drug addicts and Crystal Meth is almost as easy to get as a bag of sugar, so opiates aren't in high demand anyway.
