Things that frustrate us all

We never just get one weird or disruptive person at the library. If we're going to get one, we'll get several. I'd understand this if they were all provoking each other or interacting and winding each other up, but no. (Or rarely.) They're all unrelated incidents. Today was a loooong string of them. I have rarely been happier to leave work, and usually, I love my job.

Last night I forgot that it's never a good idea to drink two gin and tonics right before going to bed.

This morning, I remembered. :sigh:

It was so hot today that I needed to spend some time in the cellar... to cool down a little. But the moment I climbed up the stairs I was hit by a heatwave like you wouldn't believe.

I just realized how disgusting root beer is..... :ack:

I had to flush it away in the sink....

Didn't know how it would taste before I bought it. I prefer a glass of kanar right now.....
It's not just the sweetness, it's the off-taste which is cloying and disgusting. :D

I'll have to take your word for that. They don't sell that around here.

Actual root beer is quite good, imo.

But root beer soda...is just another another flavor of soda, and not a very good one at that

I really have to complain! 2 1/2 days of weekend are over already and they lasted only a few minutes. When I was a kid, weekends used to be a far better quality. They lasted much longer and weren't used up that quickly. These modern weekends are pretty crappy compared to those in the 60s.

^splendid idea! I herewith request every government to make all Tuesdays and Wednesdays mandatory work-free days in order to give the respective previous weekend a second chance! :techman:

Water in glass bottles is better than that in plastic but it's so much more cumbersome!! It's heavy, you can't crush it. I still drink it because when I drink from a plastic bottle now, I feel like I am drinking poison. Maybe a wooden keg of water would be the solution. Do they have that?

Cattle-esque people blocking an entire aisle in the grocery store while grazing for their favorite carbohydrate-rich comfort food.
