Things that frustrate us all

Couldn't agree more! If they catch those morons they ought to be sentenced to work as gardeners for a year.
I did an apprenticeship as a landscape gardener and worked as a sort of journeyman for 3 years to earn the money for my university fees and I can tell you that gardening is damned hard work. It'd perhaps give these idiots an insight in how much effort a park requires on a daily base and how important even the tiniest plants are for the ecosystem.

There’s no civic pride any more, and nothing worthwhile for young people to expend their energies on. The only way these fuckwits can make their mark is to destroy something important.
In times like these gardening and creating are acts of love and defiance. Hope your little allotment is growing blazes.

over here, many people (including myself) have taken to guerilla gardening: they secretly sow flowers in all sorts of public greens, including those narrow lawn stripes that separate lanes. In my town the town gardeners are on our side and even mow around these flowers and water them =)

Guerilla gardens. That’s awesome!

Today, it's been roadworks.

I'd left myself plenty of time to get where I was going, but because there are some one way streets and road closures, the diversion signs just had you circling the place without letting you get to it. In the end, we had to pick somewhere else, but it was a lot pricier:(

(Somebody had also moved one of the diversion signs to point you to go the wrong way down a oneway street too. - I know that wasn't the plan as it has remote bollards that can only be opened from the opposite side)
Man, I hate when that happens. It happened to me just last week when I had my doctor's appointment. The road was so throuoghly tore up and blocked off that we had to go completely the other way around to the other side of the parking lot, a three block deteor. This created a MASSIVE traffic jam which was made worse but the fact that it was 12:30pm, the time of day when everybody in the surrounding buildings were either going to or coming back from lunch. Traffic was SLOW for about 45 minutes.

And to top all that off, I REALLY REALLY had to go to the bathroom the whole time.

When you're in a hurry and unusual things keep happening to slow you down!!!

For example, I get out of the house with a paper in my hand and all of a sudden a heavy rain starts falling down forcing me to hurry back to put the (important) paper in something, lest it becomes "paper maché" in my hands before I get the chance to reach my car (my car garage is not connected to the house)! Of course, this only happens when I don't have time for that!!!

People are really assholes to people on bikes.

Went on a 50 mile ride today. Things that happened.

Guy hangs behind me for a minute, not passing even though I am as far to the right as possible and there is no oncoming traffic. Yells at me when he finally passes.

I am to right of left turn lane. Left right arrow turns green. There is plenty of room to get around me, guy still waits for me to start even though it’s up a hill. Three cars honk at me.

Approach crosswalk. Pedestrian crossing. I slow down to near stop then go around him as he passed. Makes snarky comment “You know you’re supposed to stop right?”

Stopped at red light. Random yells “Get a car!”

What is wrong with people?

In France, people are severely punished if they don't yield the right of way to pedestrians crossing the street, yet there are still assholes who do it!!! The good news is that you can now sue them if you have witnesses, even more so if you have a video of it.

In my municipality, the city installs traffic circles with dirt and gravel, and it's up to neighborhood volunteers to do landscaping and make them look nice.

...And then some jerks with big trucks drive right over them and leave deep gouges from their tires.

That's why it's advisable to surround these circles with bollards to prevent that sort of thing.

Today's frustration... click-baity links that sound like they're dropping some shocking revelation about someone or something, and when you go to the page, you end up having to scroll through walls of text with insignificant background info about the topic, interspersed with dozens of big ads, before there is finally one little paragraph at the very bottom that talks about the actual news at hand (and which usually turns out to be something that happened a couple years ago).

That reminds me of once when I clicked on a link to a video that was supposed to give me some simple advice to do something. So I listened to the guy rambling on and on about irrelevant stuff, after nearly ten minutes of that crap he was still not giving me any useful advice, so I closed that stupid window and swore to never click on that sort of link again! What an asshole!!!

Thank you.

They were able to get her to stop shivering, but she did not say what her temp was. They moved her from the ER to a regular hospital room. I'm not sure if she'll be coming home tomorrow or if they'll keep her for the weekend.

I'm a little calmer, but while I was at her house giving Trouble dinner I checked her Ring doorbell history because someone had rung it earlier but I couldn't access it (thanks, Ring!). It was her neighbor across the street. Before I left her house I went over there. Her neighbor's husband had died.

This day keeps getting better and better. :(
How is your mom doing? Better I hope.
