Things that frustrate us all

It frustrates me that in a Canadian city (Montréal), at a Canadian stadium (Stade Olympique), commemorating a Canadian team (the old Montréal Expos)...the only kind of beer they sold was fucking Budweiser.

I hear beer commercials are a big thing in your countries (Canada, USA, UK). In mine, you can't advertise for alcohol or tobacco. I don't think I ever saw a bottle of Budweiser other than in foreign movies. Not that it bothers me a lot, we have hundreds of beer brands in Europe. A beer bar not very far from here offers two hundred brands.

I was able to get back to sleep after cleaning cat boxes and taking my medicine but still woke up earlier than I thought I would.

Oh well. I do need to go over to my mom's in a little while because she has another Window company coming over to give her an estimate. I guess that the last estimate was a little higher than she wanted. I just wish she hadn't even called the company she did yesterday. Anderson. Boo! Hiss!

When my bladder got the best of me at 2:30 this morning, I awoke to a story on TV. It was a dystopian world and the situation strained logic enough that I was having a hard time suspending my disbelief.

Trying to think of the name...

I think it was called...The News. The episode may have been called, Current Events.

The beers that are actually appreciated by beer aficionados don't get advertised on TV, though.

I don't think many commercials are considered "big" things in the UK. Maybe something like the John Lewis Christmas ad for alcohol maybe the biggest one might be the Guinness ads.

Speaking of beer, my frustration for the week: the only store in my area that still sold Murphy's Stout doesn't have it any more.

Like the Murphy’s, I’m not bitter.

Haven’t had that in years, at least twelve. Don’t remember seeing in the shops for a while.

My thumb's been popping in and out of joint again. It seemed to be better for a while. Still sore, but better about popping out. Well, it's been a problem again.

Our precise logistical planning that ensures that everyone is where they need to be when they need to be there went wrong.

I’ve got to walk the kids to school, find an ATM, book a taxi for my appointment because the buses that run that way are naff, and then walk the five miles back. The walk should be pleasant because it’s coastal, but it looks like rain.

It seems almost every time I made a new purchase with Corel that I run into some sort of problem, whether it's getting a new subscription or purchasing a full version or upgrade of a perpetual license.

Right now I'm fighting with them on getting my upgraded CorelDraw Suite 2019 serial number that I'm due because I signed up for their Upgrade Program, which is a single payment every year that "guarantees" that I'll always have access to the newest versions of that Suite. It's been almost a month now since the newest version was released, I've been told two dates that they would have all of the serials out, both have passed, and the latest customer service agent pretty much ignored everything I typed in the chat window and asked me, directly, every detail that I'd already explicitly spelled out as if I hadn't typed anything at all.

Now I'm waiting (again) because he had to elevate my case to a new department. Kept me waiting for a little while, then told me that they'll need to get back to me and to close the chat window.

Great. So I've paid almost a month for the privilege to use the newest version without being able to use the newest version.
