So, I've been working the counter for four years now and I have this customer who is a regular who has been involved in a lawsuit against a company for the entire time I've been here.
He's doing work for Lyft, Uber, Door Dash, etc with his vehicle and, since he puts a lot of miles on it, the vehicle is in pretty regularly for maintenance.
He keeps saying that he's going to win a big payment once the whole thing is settled and that's the reason he's not looking for a regular job, because he'll never have to work again once it's settled, and, I want to tell him, "This thing has been dragging on for four+ years. You need help from your mom to pay your bills. You've probably spent more on attorney fees than you'll ever hope to get back in the settlement. Maybe it's time to walk away from it and get a regular job."
