Things that frustrate us all

That moron who burned the Quran and got killed for it.

What the hell was he thinking? :wtf:

I mean, I can appreciate the guts it takes to do something like that (his Twitter account even said he KNEW Muslims would kill him) but he's still a moron.

My country officially chose it's candidate for Eurovision: and it seems I'm the only one who hates it, especially because it's not epilepsy friendly. This is the song

A dreadful song too, in my opinion. I really enjoy eurovision but can't see this doing well unfortunately.

Currently trying to get my passport for an upcoming business trip. Never had one before since the only time I was out of the country, which was decades ago, a passport wasn't needed at the time for where I went. Sent all my documents to the passport agency back in December, with the extra cost for an expedited process. They didn't like the birth certificate I sent. Notarized copies aren't valid (apparently), so I had to send the original. I sent that on Jan 6th by Priority Mail, supposed to take at most 3 days. It's now Jan 21st, over 2 weeks later, and the online tracker keeps saying "arriving late Jan 13th". Put in a support ticket, all the post office could tell me is "it's in transit". It's been "in transit" for nearly 2 weeks! I put in another support ticket, plus a "lost mail" search request today. In the meantime, just in case it's truly lost, I had to apply for a new birth certificate from a state I haven't lived in for nearly 50 years. Assuming that goes through without any issues, that'll take another week to get to me, then I have to send it off to the passport office again. At this point there's a good chance I'll miss my only opportunity to visit a truly foreign country. :brickwall:
So, update. I got my replacement birth certificate (for $52) and it arrived on Jan 24th, sent it out next day air (for $131!) thru UPS. The USPS has managed to "find" my original birth certificate and delivered it on the 30th. And the passport office now says they have one of them (no idea which one) and my application is back in process. So fingers crossed it'll get done in time!

I'm REALLY starting to hate the public transport, my appartement is four stops from the train station so of course it's loaded with students to the point you can barely move it the tram. I'm going to wait a while till I have more news about my decision to cohabitate with people who are also autistic, if it's negative I can look for a school that can teach me how to drive, if it's positive I'm going to use my money for the moving van and such

I don't like the Star Trek gatekeepers who cherry pick from the franchise and say "this is Star Trek" and "this is not real Star Trek." It's all Star Trek. Some of it is bad, some of it it average, some of it is great.
Same here. Saw a post about the Star Wars prequels and people are like, "wait, people think these are bad? Have they seen the sequels?"

It's damn frustrating to be told what is and isn't Star Trek, or being told "such and such is better so this other thing doesn't count."

Why?

To me, it all counts. You watch TOS and the tone and feel is variable sometimes, and some episodes are downright difficult to get through. Imagine Trek being produced now and people would be declaring every other episode not real Trek!

I hate so many things when me and my mom do something with my dad: the fact that my mom can't drive, that I can drive but I'm rusty and need to brush up my skill so I can FINALLY get my fucking driver's license, the fact that the public transport declined in service where she lives, that I moved, that *I* have to bring him back which takes an HOUR to go back and forth because of my new location, that my stepfather STILL need to study Dutch because you need to reach a certain level before you even get hired even though he's practically fluent now and therefore can't drive my mother back and forth and that my dad has become so independent that someone ALWAYS has to pick him up because he can't be trusted to take the public transport alone. I can't believe I'm saying this but I rather do something with my nephew and my dad even though I don't like how my nephew teases him, it feels like bullying

They had an entire country worth of worth of singers and he was the best they could come up with? The song isn't great, and the lighting effects are horrible. I was watching minimized on the computer screen, but I don't think I could handle that in person in a dark stadium.

So I'm waiting again to hear from the doctors about my second procedure, they were supposed to hear from hospital us ASAP and it's now been 2 or 3 weeks. My mom called my doctor last week to try to see if they could get ahold of the hospital so they will call us. I've been dealing with all of this since September and it's getting really old.
And I've been having digestive issues and I have absolutely no energy, and I had thought it might be related to what we thought was going on with my bladder, but if nothing is going on there, then that leaves the question of what's going on with this. I've tried to mention the digestive issues to my doctors a couple times, but they just ignored it and focused on the kidney stone. So now I need to figure out if the digestive issues are just diet related, and the lack of energy is just do to less exercise. Now that I'm working and dealing with all of the stuff related to the kidney stone, I haven't been going on bike rides and longer walks, but it still seemed like the lack of energy started and got bad pretty quick. I don't if it could just all be a reaction to the stone, or if it could be something else.

Yeah I know, it sucks. Here's more information for you about how he got chosen if you're interested. When it's Eurovision my country decided that one year the northern part choses a candidate, the other year the southern part.

This year it was the northern part again, and they did the same thing when they send Gustav. Held a competition, I know it's ironic. There were 8 candidates, Red Sebastian was vocally the best. I'm going to put songs of the other candidates in this comment so you can see how pathetic the songs was this year.
