Things that frustrate us all

I enjoyed the ending of JAG.

Was ok with how Stargate SG-1 ended.

TNG probably had the strongest ending of a show that I still actually remember.

MASH is a tear jerker.

I don't really fixate on endings of shows. So I guess that's what I got for right now.

Got to the end of the Red John story on the Mentalist and gave up before the show even ended. If they’re going to disappoint with that one, why bother to watch more?

I like good endings.

And bad endings are why my significant other won’t read anymore Dan Brown or Blake Crouch novels.

I like good endings. I can enjoy bad endings too.

That is the nature of fiction. I would not recommend reading (or watching) Shakespeare. Or reading the original Robin Hood, Man in the Iron Mask, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Phantom of the Opera. I don't know. I guess I grew up reading such a variety of different things, ups and downs, that bad endings don't bother me. But, I also am not one to indulge in escapism the same way with fiction so I probably have a different point of view.

The best Red John was the first one -- Bradley Whitford. Then they dragged it out, turned it into Whac-A-Mole and made Red John someone from a random episode that has no connection to anyone or anything.

There's a theory that Red John was supposed to be Brett Partridge, but because everyone on the internet said it was him, they changed it.

Then there's Easy Rider. My husband actually screamed.

I've been seeing a lot of this online lately. People posting "This movie/book/tv show sucks and was pointless and the ending didn't work all because it wasn't happy and the main characters died!"
This is ridiculous, it would be boring if every story always ended with a happy ending. Sometimes it's nice to be shocked by an unexpectedly tragic ending. Rogue One was a perfect example of that for me, I honestly thought they were going to give a happy ending and wasn't shocked when they didn't.
And a lots of classic stories end with the main character or characters dying.
It’s fine if the premise is set up with a high likelihood everyone will die. It’s not good when this isn’t set up.
But you don't always want to telegraph you're ending, sometime you want it to be a surprise.
Do you expect the main character from NCIS or the Blacklist to die?
Lots of TV shows kill of their main characters, so I also go into a season finale of any show knowing there's a chance someone might get killed off
Did you like how LOST ended?
Yes, I did. But I think a lot of the people who didn't, completely misunderstood what actually happened.

One of the animal sanctuaries I follow on IG had to euthanize one of their ponies a couple days ago, and then today another one had to put down one of their horses, and it just got me thinking about how it's such utter bullshit that so many animals die an early death just because the asshole people who had them before didn't take better care of them.
And yes I understand stuff happens that can make it hard to take care of your animals, especially as expensive to take care of as a horse or pony, but that stops working as an explnation once you reach the point that they are a walking skeleton with foot long hooves. If a person really cared they would find a solution before they got to that point, either rehoming them or turning them into a rescue or sanctuary, and I think there are even groups out there that help people who have animals they're having trouble caring for. But leaving them to starve to death without vet care, is not something that a person who actually cared would do.

The ending of The Mist wrecked me pretty badly, and haunts me to this day.

If they had just gone with a generic happy ending, I probably wouldn't even remember the movie.

Twitter is now blocking people without an account from seeing anything. Musk is the "gift" that keeps on giving.

I gave up on the cesspool that's twitter way before he bought it.
Smart.

I can't stand it and the navigation sucks.

Also my frustration, I cannot stand the "To Do" list after work. Always piles up more responsibilities.

I didn't know they were going to end it there, that definitely would gone up there as one of the darkest TV endings ever if it hadn't kept going.

That really sucks, I hate when sites do that.
Just when you think people can't get any more disgusting and do anymore disturbing shit, people find a new low.
Thalia Fisher from the horse rescue All Seated in Barn is at a livestock auction this weekend and there's a horse there she saved that ended up there becuase it was confiscated by the police and or animal control from an illegal sex ring that was using the stallion in porn and whatever else they were doing.:wtf::mad:

It's so hot here in Florida right now that it just zaps my energy to get anything accomplished. I can't even go for a walk anymore. Usually it rains a lot this time of year so things cool down a little once in awhile but we're not getting rain either. I wish that I could move somewhere where it at least cools down at night a little.

Where in Florida are you?

Here in Miami, it's been raining and cloudy for most of June. And it's still extremely hot. (Go outside at 10 p.m., and you STILL sweat.) Not looking forward to August, the hottest month.

Sarasota.
I would love some clouds even if it didn't rain.
