Things that frustrate us all

Just for SnGs I decided to check my bank account a few minutes ago.

Turns out that one of my domains auto-renewed causing me to go $25 or so in the red. Then, because banks love charging people that can't afford it, they slapped a $37 charge ON TOP OF IT!

Freakin' A! :scream::brickwall::censored:

Here's the thing: I'm supposed to have overdraft protection in that if I don't have the money, they're supposed to deny charges. They've clarified this to me in person (but I haven't seen it in their written statements) that if something is a regular, automated charge it will go through. Yeah, that helps a TON! Thanks for screwing me over, bank.

No wonder they have a horrible reputation (TCF Bank). Gotta find a new one ASAP.

I think big banking is one of the most evil industries in the world. They’re abusing you and your business.

My credit union charges me $6 overdraft fees, as opposed to the whopping $35 TD charged me every time. It was really frustrating because during the month of December they changed me a total of $305 in fees because my husband was laid off and we couldn’t afford our bills, let alone Christmas presents. I called and literally cried to the rep on the phone because I was so nervous we wouldn’t be able to pay our mortgage, I begged them to relieve some of the fees and they wouldn’t give me a cent back. January 1st I switched to a credit union and I never looked back.

I highly recommend making the switch. Don’t let them take advantage of you.

I'm sorry that happened. You would think that they would give you a break once.

I'm having a similar problem with my neighbors. They have a carport instead of a garage and they have exercise equipment in there. Do they use earphones when they work out? No. They crank up the car radio and listen to rap right outside my bedroom window.
Do you have another room in the house you can use as a bedroom? Maybe put a blanket over the offending window...

I must admit one time I looked at the wrong date on our Visa account, I think I saw the next billing date or the reconciliation date, well I was wrong. The due date passed and to my horror a stinking late charge drew my attention to my mistake. Anyway I immediately paid the bill but rang the bank and admitted my mistake and pointed to my previous reliable history. She reversed the late charge. Maybe if you ring the bank? Banks need us and they have the flexibility.

^good luck!

frustrating thing today: inconsiderate colleagues. We are very short on office cars and so it's a matter of course for us to share our cars if we don't need them. A colleague reserved mine for the whole day. She drove out only just now (1 pm) - she could have left it until 12:30 to someone who needed it only in the morning but first thing she did at 6 am was to pocket the key. I hate her rude and brainless selfishness!

Maybe you should bring this up in a staff meeting? They should either get more cars or make sure the cars you have are used efficiently.

I'm getting far less done than I was hoping I would today.

I need to clear my room by tomorrow so I have a place to put my new mattress and desk.

Find THAT THING you wanted so badly on Amazon, and it's on sale, AND you can use your reward points to bring to price to a mere $6! Then it arrives in only one day--ONE DAY!---woo!--and you rip open the package--------------and it doesn't work. At all.

Now you have to take it to UPS, have it shipped back and hope the replacement isn't a dud as well.

Damn it.

That sucks. I read a headline the other day about being able to return Amazon stuff at Kohl's. I don't know if that has started yet.
