Things that frustrate us all

I hate being sick.

I threw up mucus and bile this morning. It was bad, guys. Real bad.
I'm sorry. :(

I spent most of my birthday on the toilet, draining myself of just about every bodily fluid I had and now I feel dehydrated.

I'm trying to drink as much water as I can, but I just can't seem to stomach it right now.

TribbleFeeder and Scribble... I sincerely hope you both are better soon. Tribs, you've been sick for awhile now huh?
(Scribble I won't ask for clarification on the last week of your life- I'm sparing you). ;)

When you let three buses pass before you realise that they’ve changed the routes and none of them will get you where you need to go.
I live just outside of New York City (Manhattan) and the bus route info to my home area was essentially "hidden" for the longest time. You'd need to know just where to look for that info. Also, there are multiple routes that go through that neighborhood that work, but either on the west or east boarders. Compounding the problem is that the gates change at the "magic hour" of 10pm. If you don't know this, you end up going to the wrong gate. Finally, they installed an intelligent kiosk in the Port Authority terminal that can help. But still... they should have some kind of simple website page that displays all the routes and their departure gates. You have to download PDF files and comb through them... a real pain on a mobile device.

@Gary7 Its not too bad here. The time tables are searchable and the routes are quite stable. In twenty years there was only ever the tiniest of tweaks to the timetable, but recently they did a huge overhaul of the routes, and now I can no longer get a bus from work to my village.

Going on three weeks. My life is a mucus fountain. I’ve kind of been going through a rough patch in general, my eating habits suck and I’ve been drinking a lot to help me sleep.

I don’t want to go to the doctor. I’m trying to avoid a “talking to” when I’m there about being unhealthy.

At least your doctor talks to you. Mine just prescribes some overkill medication and says good-bye.

Yikes, if you've been sick for 3 weeks please see the doc! If you have a bacterial infection that normally won't clear up on its own. Also, don't let the Doc give you grief over drinking and not sleeping well. Matter of fact, most docs I've seen are pretty good about not hammering when you're down and maybe that's (the extra beverages ) something you don't need to mention right now.

Bummer. I hope you get a workable alternative figured out!

Having a heck of a time trying to find something for the Tiny Tim (what we call those we send to) I have on another forum I'm on, for their annual Secret Santa event. Found one part of their gift... but the other one is a pita.

One question, what's a bus? ;)

They are very rare sight where I live.

Clear plastic. It’s so inexpensive that I take shedloads of it to recycle every week, but when I try and buy it for my craft projects it’s way beyond my budget.

@MacLeod What is a bus? To some, they’re a means of A-B, for others, they’re something to get stuck behind on the winding country lanes. To me though, they’re an object of fascination, and the reason I need clear plastic. 1:24 scale articulated buses have a lot of windows.
