Things that frustrate us all

^ And I thought I had it bad last July when my flight got cancelled due to weather. Have you heard what happened there today? There was a fire that knocked out some air traffic control facility near the airport - and caused every flight to be cancelled. (Since O'Hare is a major hub for almost all airlines, you can imagine what kind of hell that is causing.)

And what's more, the fire was intentionally set. :brickwall:

What's weird is, even in the best of times, I seem to have a pathological inability to sit down in airports. Even when NONE of my flights are delayed, I literally can never just sit down and wait - I am compelled to stand up and wander around. I've explored every concourse in O'Hare (I've done a lot of flying this summer) at length. I am so damned nervous when I fly! :scream:

Brussels Airlines.

Sorry... that won't make much sense to anyone... but seriously I took them twice and it was nightmarish both times (they lost my luggage but thankfully it was eventually returned, they lost me in their system even though I had a valid ticket, then they wrote me out a manual ticket but then wouldn't let me on the plane due to weight of the aircraft) and I am still having issues with them giving me a refund (even though I have a perfectly valid refund voucher) and it's been 2 weeks since my trip.

"Being Learning disabled and not feeling as smart as normal people". I think you are doing fine, spockkirk. You now have a new friend... me!

.
That makes you very lucky Spockkirk - Sector7 is a friend worth having! FWIW, I have only ever seen him angry when he sees people being bullied.

There is a solution, not a perfect solution but YMMV: remain friends. It's better than not being friends. Or worse. :)

Another frustration: the things worth doing are usually hard. Very good advice but usually difficult to do. :(

LOL to the Nicki hiding the slipper for a snack later. I found out when mom and Dee got home that it was actually mom's slipper she bit a huge hole in. OPPS!!!!!

I saw flights where delayed when I was downstairs and wondered what had happened. Hope everyone is ok!

More things that frustrate me:

My toes being in pain

Having a blister between my toes

Being in pain or being ill

Ah, yes, airports. :sigh: My worst airport experience ever was in April...

We arrived in Istanbul on the afternoon before National Sovereignty and Children's Day. That would be like landing in Washington, DC, on the third of July. It took two hours just to clear passport control.

I am okay usually with airports themselves, but certain airlines have made me want to commit murder. Or at the very least cry a lot.

I think they lost my grandma's luggage one time and she had to buy brand new clothes just so she could have something to wear

Not being wealthy enough to attend various events(concerts, conventions/meet & greets) with my favorite entertainers. :sigh:

^^Same. I have been TRYING to attend Star Trek Las Vegas for about 4 years now.

I did get to go on a wonderful trip this year (the first one I have EVER been able to pay for myself and I am almost 30), so I am thankful for that.

Next year I shall try for Trek Vegas again! :)

It always seems when I get my heart set on something a million things happen to prevent it. :( 2 big things were the Olympics in 96 and recently TS Red Tour. Everything fell through. Stuff I didn't care about happened with no problems at least when I was younger. :sigh:

Some Airlines are better than others, worse plane I've flown on was an American Airlines one, very good service from the flight crew but the plane was out-dated and I would say no longer suitable for long-haul flights.

Went to grab some In-N-Out drive-thru, got back to see someone has jacked my (assigned) parking spot and the nearest street parking ended up being 2 blocks away. I do have the option of alerting 24-hour towing nazis, tempting, but seems excessive, so they got a curmudgeonly note under their wiper.

I think there's assigned parking at this apartment complex, but since I don't have a car, someone's always in my spot.

Sounds like a revenue opportunity! If I didn't have a car I'd be renting out my spot. Though I guess that depends on how big of a premium parking is where you're at. I figure I could probably get $75/month for mine.
