Glad to hear it. I am a little disappointed del Toro isn't directing any more, but DeKnight is very talented so I have a feeling we don't need to worry.

Hm..... I love del Toro's style, so I'm not sure if a sequel to a very Del Toro movie would work without him, but DeKnight is indeed good. I guess we'll wait and see.

That's good. I'm not sure I'd be interested in the sequel if Del Toro had no part in it so that makes me glad.

In the first bit of casting news, John Boyega is on board playing the son of Idris Elba's character. No word on any other casting or returning characters yet.

I love Pacific Rim. I feel like there are plenty of movies they could make. It's certainly a hell of a lot better than the Transformers films.
