They should have used the original cast

They could have just used CGI to make them look young. They would have saved a lot of money on salaries since the original cast is typecast to hell and for the most part can't get non-Trek parts. For McCoy they could have used archival footage and CGI. Although I think Harold was a good choice for Sulu -- I don't really care for George Takei.

Also instead of J.J. Abrams they should have had Stuart Baird direct, since that guy really knows how to make a Trek film.
