Partners is a "mildly" funny formulaic simplistic comedy about "modern" relationships with a few excellent actors and poor Brandon Routh.
I liked Brandon on Chuck, and he was outstanding in Scott Pilgrimm vs. the World, but that Poor bastard is forever scarred by "his" Superman movie.
(His character is gay, and his boyfriend is called Lewis played by Michael Uri of Ugly Betty fame.)
Michael Uri "Here honey I got a pair of glasses for you too."
Brandon Routh "Oh you know I don't like glasses, it completely changes my look."
Michael ori "Here, just put them on."
Brandon looks down, puts the huge gawky frames on, then looks up with his goofy Clark Kent expression.
(the canned laughter has a field day)
Michael uri "Wow, you are completely unrecognizable."
Brandon Routh "See! I told you Lois."
Michael uri "Did you just call me Lois?"
Brandon Routh "No, I said Lewis"
Takes the glasses off as the cannned laughter goes wild again.
(There might have been a real audience? Meh.)
