They finally made a Superman joke on Partners.

Partners is a "mildly" funny formulaic simplistic comedy about "modern" relationships with a few excellent actors and poor Brandon Routh.

I liked Brandon on Chuck, and he was outstanding in Scott Pilgrimm vs. the World, but that Poor bastard is forever scarred by "his" Superman movie.

(His character is gay, and his boyfriend is called Lewis played by Michael Uri of Ugly Betty fame.)

Michael Uri "Here honey I got a pair of glasses for you too."

Brandon Routh "Oh you know I don't like glasses, it completely changes my look."

Michael ori "Here, just put them on."

Brandon looks down, puts the huge gawky frames on, then looks up with his goofy Clark Kent expression.

(the canned laughter has a field day)

Michael uri "Wow, you are completely unrecognizable."

Brandon Routh "See! I told you Lois."

Michael uri "Did you just call me Lois?"

Brandon Routh "No, I said Lewis"

Takes the glasses off as the cannned laughter goes wild again.

(There might have been a real audience? Meh.)

At least Routh is getting some work unlike another former Clark Kent who starred on a show for 11 years.

I watched that show for the first time last night, mainly because I'm a fan of the Sklar brothers who guested on the show. This is a very unfunny show and the canned laughter is annoying. The laugh track actually killed the Superman jokes.

Dude headlined a 20+ ep show every year for eleven years. He's earned more than a year's break before he becomes deserving of snark like this, imo. :)

I made it through one episode and cancelled my season pass. It's pretty atrocious.

Yeah I think CBS is only holding on to it because they have 13 episodes to waste and will be gone when their midseason shows are out.
