These are the Voyages

"When I was in my mid-forties on a trip into the Expanse, I saw a tribble giving birth. It was truly amazing. Within minutes the entire litter of ten was crawling around, standing up on their hind-- uh, ends. A few more minutes and they were eating everything in sight. Humans aren't like that. We don't even have all our teeth yet. That's what being human is all about. I'm sorry you can't see that."

Well done!

Seriously, I get what they were trying to do. The execution didn't quite live up to the promise, but I get it.
I agree. I can see both sides on this issue these days too.

For me the episode is a good.. all of it, but I now respect and understand how the previous episode was a more emotionally satisfying ending to the viewers who became emotionally invested in this series and how These Are The Voyages was a shock and everything but satisfying.

I do see what the production was trying to do, and I also see why it missed that mark for the Enterprise series invested viewer.

It's amazing how they could be so wrong about the effect that their episode would have on the viewers.

A Valentine? More like a "fuck you."

Well, apparently they meant well, or so we're supposed to believe.

I don't mind this episode, it is more fun when you mix this episode with the pegasus.
it goes for 1 hour and 20 minutes :D

That's the problem with it. It's an extension of a TNG episode taking place 200 years later, it's not an ENT episode at all.

Plus it's yet another holodeck episode. Well, at least it's not a holodeck malfunction episode.

It was really hard to mix them, most of the Enterprise was in part 1 and then most of TNG is in part 2.

I've said before that I understand what they were trying to do.

What I don't understand is why they thought it was a good idea.

Another thing I don't get is why Frakes and Sirtis agreed to do it. A payday? I know that actors, as much as anyone else, want to work. But why this?

Regardless, it's done. Over. No going back. Constantly rehashing the same complaints year after year won't make it any better.

From now on I choose to ignore it and move on with my life.

From what I understand, both Frakes and Sirtis asked that very same question. Why do they want us to be in the series finale of a show that has nothing to do with us? I believe they even stated that they had misgivings about stealing the limelight from the ENT cast.

And yet, that didn't stop them from taking the job.
