These are the voyages....

Didn't happen. It was all holodeck fiction very loosely based on some historical events 200 years in the past.

"While based on true events, some events and characters in this holonovel may have been dramatized. participant discretion is advised."

That's true, it would not work. I don't understand why they didn't set Troi and Riker further into their own future for TATV?
I agree:)
They could have easily created a CGI model of the USS Titan for the show and have Riker and Troi appear in episode but only as sort of bookends for the story.
Like there could have been some descendant of Archer, who tells them the story of the last mission of NX-01..or the Titan finds the wreck of Enterprise from some distant planet and its logs reveal the fate of the ship.
Things like that would have been easy to come up with.

They also should have made it as a two partner.
Yeah, not only the story was weak but the Enterprise cast got also a shorter time to tell it:borg:..

^

The flaw in TATV wasn't in the execution of the flashback with Riker/Troi, but that it -was- a flashback with Riker/Troi. Like Enterprise or not, the finale should have been a celebration of the series... instead it really did the cast and crew of Enterprise to have Riker/Troi steal the show away from them, to say nothing of how unconvincingly.

Yup. COMPLETELY AGREE.

Agreed.

Michael A. Martin said it best:

“It's like watching your favorite team lose in a game where they don't have to bother playing the bottom of the ninth inning, because, it's just a complete rout, just an indignity. It should have been a two hour triumph at least!”
