These are the voyages....

I mean time hunts us all,

No it burns us all.

I still want another TNG movie, no matter how much older they all look.

I've got no problem with the fat old TOS movies, they are awesome.

I agree, but if you took any of them from the 80's and try to pass them as 20 years younger in an episode, it wouldn't work which is the point we're making.

I'd love a Titan series with an elderly Riker in command. Of course, I do dream. :p

That's true, it would not work. I don't understand why they didn't set Troi and Riker further into their own future for TATV?

Not that this would have improved it.

I think so too!

And the nice thing about bashing it is I don't have to feel like I'm bashing someone else's true love (which is why I no longer bash certain things in certain places) because.. everyone hates it!! And even those that don't hate it do not love it!

Didn't someone list TATV as their favorite episode of ENT the other day? I don't remember where, but it was on the forums.

Yeah but they then went on to say it was the first episode that came to mind, and it was sucky.Weird to list in a what is your favorite episode thread but whatever.

Think of TATV as a TNG episode, and consider the finale of ENT to be the Terra Prime storyline 2-parter as the finale of ENT.

@teacake: Oh. Odd.

@MacLeod: Whenever I do that, I find myself wishing I could go back in time and convince them to make that storyline a three-parter instead. It's not like they were shy of such things by then.

Very true Jeff, plenty of 3 parters in season 4. It would have been WONDERFUL. And I do consider TATV some dumb TNG ep and Demons/Terra Prime the finale.

^Ditto re Demons/Terra as finale. Weller is such a good complicated villain; the baby stuff kinda works; the FX are great; and there's zero TNG involvement.

I saw a fan edit of TATV which removed Frakes & Sirtis's scenes completely, but much as I admired sentiment it was 20mins of gibberish. But I wpuld have loved to have seen a Titan series with F & S in full-on sitcom mode. They're much better actors when they have comedic stuff to do. And they would have been acknowledging passage of time, which is also comedy gold.

They gave that monkey a fully stocked and loaded kitchen so why didn't he have sex with anyone?

You wanted to give me a valentine.

Cutler.

That's who the fuck I wanted to see in the final.

Or failing that, every damn episode of the final season.

So what if she was indisposed and difficult to manage.

They had ways of getting around her condition and limitations.

The dead are in movies now and then without much spookiness.

Passing on is not the stumbling block it used to be.

I heard the Chinese were using TATV as a cure for constipation. That's where those "Captain's choice" votes came from.

It did cheapen the whole series. I didn't even care for it too much compared to the others, and I thought that was an insult to the whole series.

The concept of Riker and Troi running a holodeck simulation based on an Enterprise mission possibly would make an interesting episode. But don't do it on the finale.

The finale should have been a celebration of Enterprise, it's message and a fitting conclusion to the story arc. Instead it was just turned into a cheap crossover.

Season 4 of Enterprise really was great with the exception of the pilot and finale. Which is the bigger facepalm the alien nazi's or the crossover, I dunno.

Amen and quoted for truth.

As for the finale, I choose to ignore it and to take the novels' versions as being "reality". It's kind of fan-wanky (wow, just made up a new adjective!), but it most certainly works for yours truly. :techman:

I don't know which part of TATV was my favorite: the part where Shran leaves the prestigious Andorian Imperial Guard to become a petty thug for no apparent reason, or the part where the aliens can march around the Enterprise for like ten minutes without a single MACO or security officer stopping them. Or maybe it's the sight of Jonathan Frakes trying to play his old role despite gaining a few pounds.

May favorite thing about TATV was when they replaced Troy with Peggy Bundy:

I kept looking at her hairdo and thinking - they couldn't even get that part right!

This distracted me from Wilford Brimley - I mean, Jonathan Frakes.
