These Are The Voyages - Your Opinion, Please

Wow. This thread went all sorts crazy.

Uh, I decided to wait until after "The Pegasus." I used "Terra Prime" as the finale.

I think at this stage with 4-1/2 years having elapsed, most of us consider "Terra Prime" the legitimate final volume with "TATV" the crappy, poorly-made plastic bookend that won't hold up jack squat.

Good call.

Think of it as the freebie from the book of month club. Nowhere near as valuable or lasting as the literature you just enjoyed, and sooner or later it'll be used to scoop up dirty cat litter and nuggets.

I've just stumbled upon an image that instantly reminded me of TATV:

Well said Cool eddie.

Thanks!

I call 'em as I see 'em.

And after a lifetime of my family subscribing to both kid's and adult book-of-the-month clubs and getting their free "bookends?" I know a thing or two about the analogy.

This episode...I am not even sure where to begin, it was just so horrible, I have not watched this episode since it first aired as the 'finale'. There was absolutely no character growth evident from the missing years, everyone seemed to be the same (T'Pol and Hoshi had different hairstyles, I think?) and T'Pol and Tucker acted rather awkward around each other. Considering what they had been through, one would think they would have had a rather strong bond by then.

I can't go on, this episode depresses me to even think about. FYI, in my mind, the finale of Enterprise is "Terra Prime" and "Demons"

When VOYAGER has a vastly better series finale than you do? To quote Bill Engvall:

There's your sign!

Actually, when I come to think about it, Voyager, while having a million times less insulting finale than ENT, ended on a similar note. TATV felt like it was missing the last couple of minutes ("End program," like when you're watching a movie and 15 minutes before the end the power goes out), and Endgame felt like it was missing an entire episode. Watching the show for seven years, waiting for the heroes to get home, but never actually seeing them get there was totally frustrating. I really wanted to see them back on Earth, in San Francisco, going "OMG, were home... NOW WHAT?" It was like coitus with a climax, but no afterglow... Or... something...

Anyway, never in a million years did I expect Braga to frak up another finale, let alone frak it up like THAT! Like that proverb says, a smart man learns from other people's mistakes, a dumb man from his own. And then there are people who never learn...

All finales are insulting. They should let TV shows continue forever...

God, how I wish BSG ended after season two. We would've been spared of all that "God did it" nonsense.

And then of course there's The X-files. That show desperately needed euthanasia sometime after season 5 before it became a joke which spawned two awful movies.

I love MALLRATS.

I know what it's like to be part of a maligned and hated minority.
