These are the Voyages...spoiler

This is only accurate history if Riker is a moron.

The whole way through, Deanna is leading him, explaining the historical context and what is going to happen... If he knew his history as well as any of us can poorly explain the start of WWII, then Marina wouldn't have had any lines.

This is what I don't get... She spent 2 days trying to get his head right using a valuable massive block of holodeck time in the process, when all he needed was a leg over that probably wouldn't have lasted longer than 15 minutes.

(Deep down, they still love each other, and she knows it because Dee is a fricking empath. Although he has commitment issues she will not have a bar of. But really since she actually does loves him, is it really taking one for the team?)

We all know Riker and Troi probably did it after TATV though, and she made him wear Chef's hat.

After TATV is during Pegasus.

Whenever the ship crosses into the Neutral Zone the number of crew (and passengers) on the ship boning increases dramatically.

I don't even watch "These Are The Voyages" whenever I watch the series through these days. Even if I did accept the Enterprise elements of the episode, such as Trip's death, I just find it a clean break to end with "Terra Prime". It ties up the character arcs and feels good enough to be a finale, anyway. "TATV" just feels... unbalanced.

Do you have children?

This is important.

If you have children, and you have decided to MAKE them Trekkies... You could edit out These are the Voyages from their universe.

I mean sure, any of us could, but you're already of mind state to have faith in the pursuance of this revision and seemingly the strength to stick to it.

Is it child abuse to Orwell your kids?

Perhaps the details of Archer and T'Pol's convo in Trip's quarters was from Admiral Archer's memoirs, or something like that. There's no need to assume they really were recording every second of the mission.
This. I always thought the simulation seen in TATV was merely a holographic dramatization of historic events, not a bloody recording.

Any of you guys seen "Pirates of Silicon Valley"? A TNT TV movie about the beginnings of Microsoft and Apple, and their mutual rivalry (Noah Wyle's portrayal of Steve Jobs was friggin amazing). The writers have supposedly done extensive research, conducted dozens of interviews, aimed to make it as accurate as they possibly could, but in the end, the movie was still full of inaccuracies. You get where I'm going with this.

Riker LARPs on the holodeck.

I like to think it's like a "Worse Case Scenario" (Voyager episode) type situation, where the programme has got several possible endings.

Regrettably, Riker chose the one which ends in Trip dying and Archer giving a speech.

Far better value is the one where Trip survives, and the holoprograme ends with Trip and Riker watching T'Pol and Hoshi decontaminate to strains of the song 'You Sexy Thing' by Hot Chocolate.

Or maybe it was T'Pol and Hoshi watching Riker and Trip decontaminate to the same song.

Stupid Riker.

Dramatization of factual evidence takes a back seat to therapeutical remedy.

Dee figured out what was wrong with her beau and served Beardo a precise prescription to sack him up.

Hmm ... wouldn't it have been better to get kinky with the painsticks?

From that time he devolved?
