That scene with Sayid and Kate walking with Richard at the end was great. Something about the shot and the music really worked.
Well, the fact that she came out of the coma is certainly noteworthy (and the fact that Jack found out, which explains why he didn't want to see Kate and Aaron in Kate's episode and his comment at the end of Something Nice Back Home).
EDIT: I'm looking forward to The Others fighting Widmore. Probably Round 2 of Dharma vs. the Hostiles.
I'm betting they'll either show the continuing lives of the characters left on the island (if the island still exists) or they'll fast forward the whole show to 2008 / 2009 and someone will go back to the island. Without the Island there is no show, so they can't have two more seasons of the Losties post-island life.
Yeah I mentioned that very thing in the grading thread. It just seemed like a step backward in the story. At least with how they left it hanging.

As Alidar said, two seasons. And as for what they'll do, it seems pretty clear to me: the Oceanic 6 (well, maybe not Aaron) return to the Island to rescue those left behind. Plus we'll be catching up with those who were left on the Island during the time Oceanic 6 were back home.
It was hinted at in the second Ana Lucia flashback and confirmed in season 3.
Yeah, by the time it was confirmed in season 3, most everyone here pretty much believed that Claire was Christian's kid.
I disagree with that. If we just learned it last night it would have seemed totally out of left field and like just another plot manipulation. The way they played it out though, making us wait for 2 years, greatly heightened the emotional payoff of that scene.

Besides, if they had waited until tonight to reveal that Christian was Claire's father, we would be all complaining about how it was contrived and came out of left field.

Geck, you make a good point, and i did wonder how he would find out, and i'm interested to see where they take that, because they hopefully have had that planned out, if you subscribe to their claim that they have a plan
I agree with you. It was very soap operaish and almost cringe worthy. But I had so wanted to see that moment I don't care. And Jack's expression was even better than I had envisioned.
So about Jin being 'dead.' I still don't buy it. Sun put her wedding band back on. Widows don't do that. They island will have to be moved in space and time possibly. Perhaps Jin is on it when it does. So while he's not dead, he's absolutely out of reach.
I watched it with my dad, and he had completely forgotten that we already knew Claire was Jack's sister. He still loved the reveal and didn't think it was contrived, whereas I loved seeing Jack finally learn what I've known for a long time. Interesting that the show works on both levels like that. I think it speaks to the strength of the acting in this case...kudos to Matthew Fox, he looked absolutely devastated.

I wonder if he now has to go back to find Claire. And feels so guilty about leaving her behind now that he can't make himself be around Aaron.
