"There's No Place Like Home, Part I" Live Commentary

That's probably the case, but I think it's a gradual progression. The funeral happened shortly after their return, but when he later visited Hurley at Santa Rosa (the first time), he was fine. Between the guilt of Claire, raising Aaron, and the visions of his father (and knowing Hurley is having similar visions about Charlie) slowly breaks him down to the point where we saw him in "Through the Looking Glass."

I think there might be one more event in between somewhere, and I'm guessing it's a full-on conversation between Jack and his (ghost? Smokey? something else entirely?) father happening sometime between "Something Nice Back Home" and "Through the Looking Glass." Maybe even happening in the finale, though perhaps it will deal more with what happened between leaving the island and landing in Hawaii and we'll save the "Why is Jack going nuts?" question for next season.

"Well, alright, can I get you boys a nice, cold glass of lemonade while I'm back there?"

Wouldn't it have been funny if he actually came back with a glass of lemonade, complete with ice, a straw and a little umbrella? ...and maybe an extra orange or lemon wedge?

"How many times do I have to tell you, John? I always have a plan."
My first thought... Look how well the last one worked out.

Crud, due to the show being on later here in Colorado I wasn't able to join in the live commentary.

So many twists and turns.

* Now we have to wait for the next episode, crud *
