If you have clicked on this thread, you've no doubt heard the theme music for Discovery.

I thought it was downright lovely. I get hints of Westworld and GoT, which I am totally okay with.

I thought it was very lovely. The opening chords gave me goosebumps. I'm sure it'll sound even better when heard properly with the show (and without Kurtzman talking over it).

Exactly! TOS, TNG ( borrowed from TMP), DS9 (the faster version), Voyager all had strong, memorable themes. From what I heard of Discovery's, it just doesn't go anywhere.

It seems to have multiple mini themes, right after you first few keys it sounds tng-klingon and then jumps into a Giacchino style trek music

Funny, but I thought it was very rousing

I'm digging the strings starting at about the 1:10 mark in the video below, and the slight vocals we hear at about the 1:40 mark

I thought it was a good theme. It seemed very grand. I was hoping for something a bit more electronic though. We are in the 21st century after all.

We're in an age where TV title sequences have become a beautiful art form unto themselves. I'm hoping that Discovery's title sequence will be as inspired.

Just listening to that video clip, I don't think I have heard enough to make a judgement. I hope it doesn't lean to heavily on the original theme, but can stand alone and be memorable.

So far, I don't get that thrill which I did when I first heard the Star Trek Voyager theme

I chose not to vote since I've already forgotten what it sounded like. I'll probably like it just fine when I've seen the intro a few times though.

It is so far the only real thing that has inspired any confidence is this show. Everything else is just too covered up to decide.
