Their other roles...

Huh..i have never seen that Too Much Fun. I will check it out. I actually like Scott. i can't remember the movie, but wasn't he in some feature movie that was really creepy? Came out in the 80s I think.

Now that I think about it, a lot of Star Trek alumni appeared on "Dream On". The premise of a single, divorced publisher who is constantly dating and having sex with women and is obsessed with movies (and constantly remembering movie moments, which the show illustrates by actually cutting to short black and white clips of those moments) allowed some hilarious opportunities for Star Trek guest stars. It's a very underrated and largely forgotten gem of an HBO show that unfortunately only has the first two of its six seasons on DVD. A lot of future more famous celebrities had really fun parts on the show, like Salma Hayek as the maid of the main character's ex wife!

I can't believe I forgot to mention that Gates McFadden played one of his many, many conquests, as a women grieving over her dead husband who tries to get over her grief by making the main character dress up like the husband when having sex with him! If you ever wanted to see Dr. Crusher ravaged (in one of the most comedic, over-the-top ways possible), you should see the episode "The Book, The Thief, His Boss, and Her Lover" (another fun movie reference title). from the show's season 4 in 1993. I can't find the full episode online, but someone put clips of her scenes (including the sex scene) on Youtube.

Ricardo Montalban also appearaed as a celebrity (not himself) at a fancy dinner party in the season 2 opener - "The Second Greatest Story Ever Told". The best and funniest thing about Montalban's guest spot is that when other people are talking about his character, we see vintage black and white clips of Montalban from one of his old movies! I'm not familiar with a lot of Bakula's work, but I wouldn't know about any creepy movies he's been in. I checked his IMDB page, but wasn't sure what to look for. Maybe you'd have more luck.

Walter Keonig was BRILLIANT on Babylon Five as the asshole Alfred Bester. Such a radical departure from Mr. Goodguy Chekov. It goes to show what a great ac tor Mr. Keonig is.

Indeed, he's pretty good.

Al-Siddig is freakin' great in Syriana, one freakin' great movie.

I just remembered Mark Lenard in the western series "Here Comes the Brides." Fun stuff. Interesting when the book Ishmael was written combining both series, since Mark was so prominant in each.

i recently saw Mr. Lenard on an episode of HAWAII FIVE 0 where he played a ninja warrior. Not a great performance! But I guess we're all allowed a mulligan in life.

Both Ethan Phillips(Neelix) and Richard Riehle(Seamus Driscol from Fair Haven) appeared in the 1989 film "Glory".
Phillips as the hospital steward and Riehle as the quartermaster Kendric.

I saw Dominic Keating this week as a psycho axe murderer in CSI NY.

I remember when he was a teenage wide boy in a sitcom called Desmond's. Set in a barber shop in Peckham, it was like the British Cosbys, but funny.

Mark Margolis (Dr. Apgar from TNG episode 'A Matter of Perspective') was also in 'Glory' as a soldier; Margolis also appeared in 'Scarface.'

The first time I saw Richard Riehle was in the video game 'Wing Commander IV' with Mark Hamill.

BOSTON LEGAL had an episode with...Rene/Armin (in the same scene, a subtle tribute to odo/quark) as well as Shatner and Ethan Phillips.

I taped "Incubus," starring a young William Shatner, off TCM last week. Haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

Can't wait to see Captain Kirk speaking Esperanto!

And her bit on 24 was good too..and her small bit on Lost wasn't bad either...

Is it just me? Or is she everywhere??? I remember the first time she was on Trek. Wasn't it that episode with Winchester from MASH? She had this way of sitting, I know this sounds strange, but the way she would be sitting aroused me...not sure why. Just one of those things I guess...

she did some movies back in the day. Was she ever nude in any of them?

Rob

I've seen two of her films, Kalifornia (not a typo) and Swimming with the Sharks. As for whether she was nude, I don't remember, but I don't think so

I almost forgot, she was also good as Ken Stott's deaf-mute wife in the dark-and-creepy UK detective drama Messiah. An unusual role for her, and I've read that she learned the sign language specifically for that role.

She was in Swimming with the Sharks? Is that the movie where Kevin Spacey plays that jackass manager or something? Huh...I will have to see that movie again...

This has turned into one of the better threads that we've had in a while.

Fionnula Flanagas is one of my favorite bit part stars. She is good in everything she does, including playing a Vulcan ambassador in Enterprise. She gets a lot of work ranging frm Bananza to Lost.

She had a sex scene with David Duchovny in Kalifornia, but it was one of those Hollywood sex scenes where the participants remained clothed throughout.

She was awesome (and really creepy) in The Others. :bolian:

There are TONS of people who were in RoboCop and Total Recall that have showed up in Star Trek in the last 25 years.

In Shark there is Jeri Ryan, Ron Glass, Billy Campbell, Clyde Kusatsu, and John de Lancie.

She was at her best, IMO, on HOW THE WEST WAS WON as Aunt Molly...
