Looks as though SHADES OF GRAY is going to end up being the worst episode, when compared to Spocks Brain. In all honesty, you long time TREK fans, did you ever think any episode would take that award away from Spock's Brain? Not me.
Okay, another battle between two lower rung episodes. If you liked either one then I mean no offense. Also, I am using the episode synops from Treknation. So who ever wrote them deserves a thank you..so..THANK you..now..on with the battle..
Okay…TNG and DS9 square off here. Both episodes, IMO, were just awful and I will probably never watch them again for as long as I live; yes they are that bad.
From TNG we have the classic episode “Justice”. "Wesley Crusher is sentenced to death for accidentally violating alien law, forcing Picard to choose between obeying the noninterference directive and manipulating the culture to save his crewmember's life." Ummm, this episode could have come from TOS season three. It is utterly dumb, and is only watchable if you want to see the scantily clad women ‘jiggling’ about. It was around this time I started wondering if any one on this show could act at all. And just to be honest, I haven’t seen it since I first saw it. So, for all I know, it may have aged well over time; but I doubt it.
DS9’s first season had some real choice clunkers as well. My wife loves this episode, but then again, she’s out of her mind most the time anyway. The episode is called “Move Along Home.” "A race called the Waddi, which like games, lead the crew of Deep Space Nine on a complicated but ultimately harmless trip through a maze which Quark later makes plans to buy.” I had the misfortune of sitting through this one again about four months ago. It was as stupid as I remembered. Again, just like TNG’s Justice, I was beginning to wonder if ANYONE on this show had ever acted before. Watching some of these earlier episodes is like watching a bad bad bad B movie. And what was going on? Were they in another dimension? What technology was being used? Don’t even bother telling me, I don’t care. This episode stunk..
Someone asked why I don't include polls? I like polls, but sometimes they become lazy. Six zillion people will vote, and some offer reasons. Others don't. Here, with no polls, if you want to vote, you have to state your case...seems more, I don't know, Boston Legalish to me this way....
So…which is the WORST EPISODE….
“JUSTICE” (tng) vs “MOVE ALONG HOME” (ds9)
