The wife and I met Garrett Wang

Yeah, it IS great to meet actors, or other celebreties. When I met a couple celebreties, I really tried to remain calm and casual, like you just saw a friend from work, for example. So we talked for a few minutes...and it was great.

The biggest thing about meeting celebreties is to not crowd them, and treat them like normal people. They seem to like it.

Great photo and meeting!! Thanks for sharing! One of the things about Garrett that I thought was pretty cool was that he would go hang out in Quarks for a drink. I would guess he never had to buy a drink.. but he was always chatting with anyone and everyone... like he really enjoyed that. I was in Las Vegas for the convention this year and he was the only one I saw doing this.
I found each Celeb that I meet was very nice and polite. I thought Connor Trinneer was a bit embarrassed that people were making a fuss over him.. he seemed very humble.. and I adored Anthony Montgomery (Travis) who sat at our table and was a blast.
Anyway.. thanks for sharing your picture!! I have some of me with the Star Trek celebs over at the www.trekspace.org site. I cant put any on this board yet!

Hm. Or maybe it's that YOU get around too much.

No, not really. It's best to get around more than to stay at home.

I also don't think East Asians have made a genuinely mainstream impact into Hollyweird and even in Heroes there are slightly kooky Japanese stereotypes, however Hoshi Sato was a better and more fully rounded character than Harry Kim, even if she supposedly had a male first name. And while Garret Wang was always pretty bland, what happened to his stagnant character wasn't really his fault, but never the less he was part of a popular and long running sci-fi show, so he's effectively immortal. Wang has let himself go a bit since 01/02, however it looks like he has more muscle than fat and doesn't look especially old for 40.
