I sure hope somebody here knows where Leonard Nimoy's funeral is going to be, because the Westboro Baptist Church has announced plans to picket it. Re: Thread title. Please show the man some respect, he wasn't Spock. Spock was a fictional character. A character close to us all and whom we all loved, but a man who has done so much more for the world and for many individuals died let us remember that MAN who was much more than that fictional character.

The Westboro Church is full of assholes, it is of no surprise they've said they intend to picket this funeral. (Though you're choice of source is a dubious one.) I'm sure they'll be met with resistance by fans.

Storyteller, this is no criticism of you, since you clearly meant well with this, but I'd rather not even give Westboro the time of day by leaving this thread open.

People know they announce that they're going to picket many celebrity and high profile funerals, so this doesn't come as much of a surprise. I'm sure there will be people there to sequester them from the mourners.

So I'm going to go ahead and shut this down. Thanks.
