well, I stand correctedThis could be the strangest minutiae I have started debating, but a berry is a fruit.
Are you referring to Ozymandias? We know the ‘original’ hero was a criminal.
I don't think this is quite accurate. From the canned "apology" given by the automated DNA testing machine, the reparations are being paid just as much for "pain and suffering" as for the loss of wealth. Not all of the black people who were killed in the massacre were wealthy. Descendants need only prove they are descendants in order to be eligible for reparations, not that their ancestors had wealth. We have people who benefited from wealth earned a hundred years ago by their grandparents, sowing division in society between the haves and have nots.

I thought that was a grandfather. So his child was a cop, but not him. Or perhaps even his child was just married to a cop.We have the father on ‘his day’ desperate for money (which means he too was a cop, since the children are all police children from White night...)

Some of the comments go WAY OVERBOARD, yes, but after the first episode, to me it did come across as VERY heavy handed, with very little connection to the actual WATCHMEN beyond a bunch of easter eggs and the Adrian Veidt character. That became inevitable once it became clear what the show is about.

IDK - but with just 9 episodes to tell your story; not really giving a solid connection to WATCHMEN until the third is IMO taking a long time to get going here.
Yes, he might get more seasons, but that's never a sure thing so you think he be sure to move the story and not do such a long buildup to a real connection here. (Ep. 3 was the first one I liked/actually found interesting - and he could have got there by episode 2, at least introducing Laurie earlier.)
